Great tour--really worth it

| the three hours went by very quickly. It was a part of New York I had not seen before and I loved the history, the Italian deli, bakeries and chees shop and the wonderful tiny restaurants i would not have known about. I liked hearing in things about New York--where the term 86'd came from, why the cabbies don't say the "avenue of Americas, seeing the speakeasy and the narrowest row home with it's own wealth of well known previous owners. I have to go back to the Village. Very comfortable and not strenuous | ||||||

| the ladies who took us around were great........i loved their vitality and their serious knowledgeof food and n y., please thank them for me.......also i would have liked a name tag on our super guide......and even a carrier bag with the bottle of water [much appreciated] paper napkin and list of the various food partners....next time i know i'll be coming to n y , i'll definately look up your site and book, by then i hope you will have more tours, especially a third food one........thank you | ||||||

| We found this tour to be so education and so entertaining at the same time. The food was all delicious and so varied. We especially loved learning about some of the architecture and history of the Village as well. The tour guide, Cindy, was absolutely wonderful!!! She was a perfect combination of historian, food critic, guide and "Jewish Mother"(her words)! She was so knowledgeable, friendly, open and helpful. Her love of New York was obvious. What a fun way to learn a little more about this wonderful city! We are planning to do another tour with this company on our next visit and we have already recommended this tour to many of our friends who travel! | ||||||

| We found all the information about the bulidings and history of the city really interesting. The food tastings were good too. Good idea to do this at the start of your trip so you can go back and eat at some of the restaurants. | ||||||

| Our golf group loved this tour. The three hours flew and seemed like 30 minutes. Cindy, our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We came away wanting to visit NYC again and spend more time in Greenwich Village. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting NYC. | ||||||

| 1. Tour guide Cindy was wonderful. In addition to her warm and funny style, you realized that she was a vital part of the neighborhood as people on the street acknowledged and greeted her. 2. The time flew by quickly. It really could have been longer. 3. I'm glad we didn't take take out to "shop" because it's a waste of our time and her expertise. 4. Group size of 16 made it personalized -- any bigger would be hard to manage and feel impersonal. 5. More tastes of more things -- even if a little bitty mouthful. | ||||||

| The tour was really cool, we learned a lot about Greenich Village and wanted to move there by the end of it. The food was great, come hungry. Cindy, our guide was great. All of the mom and pop shops were so unique and totally "New York." It was very enjoyable overall. | ||||||

| We did this tour after doing the Chelsea Market tour last year. We really enjoyed the Chelsea Market tour. We visited many food stops and got a lot of interesting information about the neighborhoods that we visited. We did it with a couple of friends and they went back this year and re-visited many of the restaurants/shops that we saw on the tour. We would definately do this tour again. But the Greenwich Village tour was a bit disappointing. This was a Christmas gift we gave each other with my husbands siblings and their spouses. Since we did the Chelsea Market tour and were inpressed we thought this would be even better. It wasn't. We only had tastings at 5 or 6 places. The tour guide was good, but he took us into empty restaurants and told us "the scoop" on the different owners and their personalitites and relationships with the locals. Not exactly what we had in mind. We expected a little more wow an not so much gossip. Also, we expected to have tastings at a few more of the featured establishments. Don't think we would do this one again. Sorry! | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed this tour - the guide was terrific, especially as it was her first time leading a group! She was very well informed and had a great sense of humour. The highlight (for me) was to learn so much about the building and the area - the food tastings were the icing on the cake! My friend had already done your tour of Greenwich Village a year or two ago and she loved that one as well - so that will be on my program on my next visit to NYC. I have already recommended this to several people out here in California! Keep up the great work. | ||||||

| We have gone on other walking tours but have never enjoyed one so much as this one. Our guide -- I think her name was Kim--- said it was her first guide on her own. She was fabulous!! Very enthusiastic, informative and had a wonderful sense of humor. We would highly recommend this walking tour. We loved it so much we are planning on doing it again next year! Thank you, thank you. In an area where everything is so expensive, this was a bargain an well worth the small expense. | ||||||

| This tour was part of my gift to my mom for her mother's day/b'day trip to NYC. A year ago I took the Greenwich Village tour with this company and enjoyed it so much I wanted to do another tour. Our guide, Wendy, was FABULOUS! She had so much energy and enthusiasm it was contagious. This was Wendy’s first solo tour and you would never know it…she seemed like she had been doing this for years. I loved the 2 hours we spent in Chelsea Market and would have been happy if the tour ended there as I wasn’t overly impressed with the Meat Packing District part of the tour. It is great that the stores and restaurants have transformed the meat packing plants into their current businesses while still maintaining part of the “charm” of the district in its heyday, but overall that part of the tour was not as interesting. The food on this tour was fabulous…we literally ate our way through Chelsea Market! I enjoyed hearing how some of the shops got there start and appreciated the way generations of families have been working in the family business. In The Lobster Place, we got to meet Herman the 11 pound lobster! Both the Chelsea and Village tours were interesting in their own respect and I do recommend taking a trip to both areas on your next visit to NYC. | ||||||

| I enjoyed the samples from the restaurants and hearing about others that I may never had known about. I would have liked more samples from the other restaurants of the list. I likes having a detailed list of the restaurants in the area. Our guide was fun, and informative! A great tour! | ||||||
