My wife and I enjoyed all of the food and history that we got from your tour. We love food and history and this was a wonderful mix of both. This tour was the highlight of our five days in NY. We both enjoyed the chance to try all of the foods that were offered to us. Todd was wonderful at giving the tour. We both felt that he enjoyes giving that tour and charing the different foods that one can get at Chelsea Market. Thanks again.

Even though it was a rainy day and we were in the middle of a terrorist threat on the subway, we would'nt have missed this for the world. We had a great tour guide with a sense of humour and a thorough knowledge of the area. The food was great and we have recommended this to many friends. When we return to New York we plan on taking another of your neighbourhood tours. The Balmers, Toronto, Canada.

Feel like a New York City insider!

We feel we learned so much on this tour and were able to see hidden spots that many New Yorkers don't even know. We returned for dinner twice to places that were featured on the tour and both times were wonderful. The tastings we had were temperature correct and made to perfection. The history and culture of Greenwich was both interesting and entertaining. Our tour guide, Michael, made the experience truly fascinating even in the persistent rain! Don't miss this chance to learn about one of New York's wonderful neighborhoods.

An amazing experience!!!

My husband and I have been to NYC a few times so we were looking for something that was beyond the usual tourist spots. This was exactly what we were looking for! Mike, our tour guide, was such a wealth of knowledge and a delight to be with! I wish we could have spent our whole trip listening to all he knew and had experienced in NYC. I had always been fasinated with the Greenwich Village area and this tour was a perfect way to learn all about it. The information was astounding and the food was delicious! Our favorite thing was getting to go to Chumley's Bar! Barrow St was beautiful too! It is hard to pick a favorite! We went back to the Village that next evening and had dinner at Palmas and it was amazing. We also checked out the pastry shops and the Red Lion and got to hear some great local jazz music. In all the things we have done in NYC, this is at the top of our list! Mike was the best guide and I would like to thank him again for making a rainy day in New York into a bright day in the Village!! A+++++++!!!!!

Michael was a great tour guide who offered so much insight about the neighborhood and its fascinating history. The food was great and the tour gave us a "non-commercial" view of NYC.

It was a wonderful, informative and delicious tour. I learned quite a bit about Greenwich Village and it was all very interesting. I will highly recommend this to all of my friends and family. The weather was horrible and we trudged through the pouring rain, however, it was well worth getting wet!!!! Thank you, I plan to take the Iron district tour next time I am in the city!!

Great Entertainment

I am a repeat food tour visitor, with high expectations after the Greenwich Village tour I took two years ago. This one was just as enjoyable, informative, and entertaining. As a solo tourist in the city, it is the perfect introduction to a new area and a fun way to spend the afternoon. We returned for dinner and more shopping in the area later in our trip.

The Greenwich Village eating & walking tour was a blast. The guide was knowledgable and personable. I got a great history and feel for the area, and tried some great food samples in the process. Was worried that there wouldn't be enough food at first -- but there ended up being more than enough. Good times!

Great tour guide!! This was one of our New York Highlites. Very interesting walking tour around "The Village". It was the best way to really explore a New York neighborhood, and the food tasting at seven different shops and restaurants was excellent. If you want to get a feel and taste of the real New York lifestyle, get off the tour bus, and take this easy walking tour. You will be very glad you did.

Wow - fabulous experience!

We embarked on the tour with Cindy, the most knowledgable & enthusiastic guide. Not only were the various eating experiences wonderful, the information that we learned about the area - historically, architecturally, and the "fun facts to know" while walking around were just great! It was refreshing to walk about while hearing stories about the area and the long-term businesses that are established there. Cindy, our guide, has a great passion for the village and it's history and people that make it what it is. Her stories were great to listen to and her excitement for the area is contagious. Her insights on things to do and entertainment to check-out were also excellent.

Our tour guide, Barri, was pleasant, knowledgable and enthusiastic. Since we are staying in the Village for a few days, we have returned to several of the eateries to which we were introduced...very helpful information.

Wonderful mix of foods and history of the area

Our tour group was a mixture of ages (mostly women) and the tour appealed to all. The foods sampled were varied and plentiful. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to taste a sampling from the West Village and Greenwich areas and to have the rich history and culture explained in the process. New York is so much more than just Midtown Manhattan and this tour provided an opportunity to explore the richness and depth of an area filled with history and charm. One of my favorites on our tour! The only criticism that came from my group was that perhaps there could have been more opportunities to sit while listening to the tour guide - standing got a bit long for some. They all said that they would definitely recommend this tour!

Highlight of our trip

This really is a fantastic tour packed full of great hints, tips, ideas and facts that the guidebooks fail to mention. Even if you have been to NYC before, I'd recommend this little trip as it shows you the city from a different perspective. It's great value for money as well as you get plenty of yummy food to try as well as learning about the area. Obviously I can't speak for all the guides but I am sure they are all as great as ours, Kurt, who was brilliant - it really was the highlight of our 5 days in NY! My tip for people thinking of doing this tour would be to do it as early in your trip as possible so you can take advantage of all the great restaurant recommendations you get! More interesting, personal and witty than the mainstream tours and much less touristy this really is a must-do when in NY. Vikki & Gordon (UK)

We loved the tour!

We really were glad we went on the Food tour. The guide was very good and knew the area and had interesting stories about the area. We were surprised at how much food was included. We would highly recommend the tour -- and I intend to call two of my friends from Ohio who might be going to the area in the next 2-3 months. We went back that night to Palma for dinner that night and stopped by the speakeasy for a quick drink before dinner and ran into another couple who had been our our tour earlier in the day. They must have enjoyed it, too!
