This is my second tour as well as the second time visiting New York!!! I can not say more how wonderful the tour is. The first time I went on the tour was with a group of girlfriends and we loved it so much I had to do it again this time with my boyfriend. Greenwich Village is such an unique gem in Manhatten!!! After the tour we headed to Fish Seafood Restaurant for their "happy hour", which was suggested during our tour. Later we stumbled over to The Back Fence bar for some Brooklyn Lager and live music. On our last day of our trip, Greenwich Village was on the list! We ate lunch at Palma and even after some shopping we ended our day with another slice of Nonna Maria at Bleeker Street Pizza. The only disappointment was Chunley's. Being that my boyfriend is a writer, I knew he would of love to see all that history in Chumley's!! But the history is so amazing overall. I always recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York. With plans to move to New York later this year, I will definitely will take the tour when family and friends come to visit us. Thanks once again for such a memorable time in Greenwich!!

It was very interesting and the food options were awesome. Sam, our guide, was great. He knew the history of each of the stores that we vistited as well as the area outside the market when we took the outside tour. He kept our attention the entire time. I could have gone another 3 hours. Thanks for having a different type of tour! You get more of the New York vibe !!

Our tour guide was great! He had great information and stories to tell. He took the time to answer any questions that were presented to him. The group size was perfect and all the shops were very welcoming.

The food was great, and our guide "ED" was fantastic. I loved to hear about the history of the area.

Loved this Experience

My husband and I booked The Art of Sushi for our final night in NYC after being there for a week. My husband is a chef and a true "foodie". We both found the night both delicious and very entertaining and enlightening. We learned a lot and would highly recommend this event to anyone who loves to experience dinner not just eat it.

wonderful introduction to the Village
Sat, May 17  1:00 PM iezymairvin Female 50-59 International Tourist(s) Other
The tour enabled us to feel part of the Village almost immediately. Even though the food seemed incidental-although quite good in itself-our "tour guide" immersed us in the vibe of the Village from the outset and never let up! His enthusiasm was contagious. A special food request was accomodated (vegetarian) which was much appreciated. Highly recommended.

Mike was amazing. It was the best part of our NYC weekend. The food was delicious! We went back on Sunday to eat at some of the restaurants.

It's More Than Just Food
Sat, May 17  12:30 PM marionroosa Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
We were concerned before we booked the tour that there would be so much food that we'd get overstuffed and uncomfortable. In the end, we were very impressed by how the tour is laid out, that the food comes in increments so that you don't get too full. The breaks in between tastings were long enough that our stomachs could settle while we got some great information about the neighborhood's architecture, history, and local culture (Greenwich Village). We must also say too, that we couldn't have asked for a better guide than Cindy. She was witty, upbeat and totally New Yorker through and through which added tremendously to the tour. She was incredibly genuine, which is a wonderful contrast to the less personal tours we've taken in NYC (aka bus tours) ... she answered our questions from personal experience, and when it was over, we felt like we'd made a friend in NYC.

SOHO TRENDY AND TASTY
Sat, May 17  12:30 PM skilroy Male 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
SO THIS IS THE SECOND TOUR WE HAVE TAKEN, THE FIRST ONE BEING THE GREENWICH VILLAGE TOURS. OUR GUIDE WAS DIANA AS IN BANANA (HER WORDS). SHE WAS PLEASANT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE AND MADE AN EFFORT AFTER THE TOUR TO GET EVERYBODY WHERE THEY NEED TO GO AND ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS. THE TOUR STARTED OFF STRONG AT THE INDIAN BREAD COMPANY AND THE TASTING WAS OUTSTANDING. NEXT ONTO MONTES FOR RAVIOLI AND AGAIN OUTSTANDING. THE 3RD TASTING (I FORGET THE NAME) WAS SOMETHING I WOULD HAVE NEVER TRIED ON MY OWN, BUT A VERY GOOD SWEET TREAT. THERE WAS A NICE BREAK BETWEEN TASTING # 3 AND 4 WHICH WAS GREAT AS WE WERE GETTING STUFFED AND NEEDED TO DIGEST. THE BIG LET DOWN WAS THE TASTING AT PEANUT BUTTER & CO. WE HAD A THINLY SLICED CHICKEN WITH A SPICY PEANUT BUTTER AND A PINAPPLE CHUTNEY SERVED ON WHEAT BREAD. NOT ENOUGH PEANUT BUTTER WAS ON THE CHICKEN TO REALLY SAMPLE THE PB AND THE WHOLE THING WOULD HAVE TASTED BETTER IT WS SERVED IN A WRAP RATHER THAN THE WHEAT BREAD. ALSO, I HAVE SEEN PEANUT BUTTER & CO PRODUCTS IN WALMART SO IT KIND OF TAKES AWAY FROM THE "LOCAL" FLAVOR OF THE SOHO TOUR EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THAT THE PRODUCT ORIGINATED IN SOHO. A COUPLE OF THE ITALIAN TASTINGS LIKED SMOKED MOZZARELLA AND SAUSAGE TASTING WERE OKAY BUT NOT A SLAM DUNK IN MY MIND. MANY OF THE GROCERIA OFFERINGS, WE HAVE IN THE ITALIAN ISLE OF MARKET BASKET GROCERY STORE IN OUR AREA. THE LAST TASTING AT GRANDDAISY WAS LOVELY. OVERALL THE CULTURE PORTION OF THE TOUR WAS NICE, I WILL ALWAYS MARVEL AT REAL ESTATE PRICES IN NY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO MAKE A CHOICE BETWEEN THE GREENWICH VILLAGE TOUR AND SOHO TOUR, I WOULD CHOOSE GREENWICH. IN MY OPINION EVERY TASTING ON THE GREENWICH TOUR WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD AND ALTHOUGH WE WERE FILLED UP ON THE SOHO TOUR, I THINK THE PORTIONS ON THE GREENWICH TOUR WERE A BIT HEARTIER. I JUST LIKE THE VIBE BETTER IN GREENWICH VILLAGE. THAT BEING SAID, I AM SO HAPPY WE WENT ON THE TOUR AND LEARNED IN DEPTH ABOUT ANOTHER GREAT AREA OF NY. MY ONLY OTHER SUGGESTION WOULD BE THAT A 2 HOUR TOURS VS 3 HOUR TOURS WOULD BE DESIRABLE. DIANA THANKS FOR A LOVELY AFTERNOON AND UNCLE BILL GAVE US FREE BAGELS.

Tour was worth the 3 hours even on a short weekend

My relatives were celebrating my aunt's 80th birthday by having 3 generations of women into NY for the weekend. The weather was great, the tour combined a little food, a little history, a little culture, and a little architecture. We had a great guide. I would highly recommend it and actually already have.

Great tour

It was a great tour and I would absolutely book it again. The only negative I can say is that I really did not need to walk thru the restaurants just to see them. At the end of our tour, we walked through about 4-5 restaurants and walked thru a hotel. I could have done without that part. The tour was very informative and enjoyable. Our tour concluded at a hotel a few blocks from Chelsea market. I think it would have been better to end at the market. We were on a time crunch and weren't able to go back to the market to shop at the end of our tour. Will recommend to anyone I hear who is going to NYC.

Very quaint and interesting area

We loved Greenwich Village tour. It is such a quaint area, neat little restaurants, stores, and architecture. I cant wait to go back and repeat the tour. It was absolutely fun, filling, and interesting. Pizza shops, coffee shops, olive tasting, and delicious cookies were all fantastic! Be sure to leave enough time to go back to the places you visited because you will definitely want to.
