| This tour was excellent! Our group leader, Ed, was friendly and knew about the area in detail. We learned a lot about the West Village and enjoyed great food as well. The food tastings were spaced so that we were full but not too full. We can't wait to go back on our own to try several of the restaurants. We also plan to take a different tasting tour in the near future. It was a highlight of our trip. | ||||||

More history than food

| Overall I enjoyed the tour, it was very informative, providing a historical overview of the area and highlighting current hotspots. But since the tour was specifically a "Food Tour" I expected a little more emphasis on the food culture and tastings. I would have appreciated more tasting stops as there was certainly enough time for them. | ||||||

Okay but not great

| I found that we heard more about the history of the area than the history of the food. The food tastings were excellent, but there weren't many of them. I can't believe the sparse food offerings for the cost of the tour (3 hours). I was also disappointed that we spent almost an hour walking around a park. If that entire section had been cut out, the tour would have been far better. | ||||||

| My compliments. Another proof that it comes all down to the tour guide. In our case Bob was just the perfect tour guide providing the perfect mix, of history facts, funny stories and good tastings - all with the right attention to detail. Thanks, Bob! | ||||||

| The tour stopped at a great selection of shops--so the food we tasted were really fantastic. Come hungry! | ||||||

| We were a group of 4 and are glad we took the tour. Now when we return to the area, we wil have a general idea of where to go as many of the business signs do not jump right out at you. We loved the taste testing. The food was great! | ||||||

| i really enjoyed the food tour. the only suggestion i would liek to pose is to not do two pizza restaurants on the tour. i understand these places probably are the simplest to do a sampling at but i think it would have been nicer to have a sample at a different type of restaurant. i am really excited to go back and try all the restaurants that were featured on the tour. | ||||||

| Loved the tour. Bought at the stores after the tour with the discount they provided tour members so our NY hosts could also enjoy the wonderful food. Now we are continuing to order via the internet with our discount so we can share the great food with our California neighbors. Who doesn't like to eat? We are already planning to take some of the other tours on future trips to NY. Keep up the good work. | ||||||

| The Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District tour was a great time. I live in NYC and took family to this. I'd recommend it to out-of-towners and New Yorkers alike. Our guide, Cyndi, was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgable. | ||||||

| Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable; food samples were delish, especially the first one from the Indian bakery and the last one from the Greek yogurt joint. And the gnocchi at the Italian joint, where we were seated and the chef actually came out and gave us the recipe for the delicious pasta! That, more than anything, really made the tour special. We also enjoyed the bits of music/culture history, such as the stop at Bob Dylan's former home. Two thumbs up from these Southern Californians! Only nitpick: The peanut butter sandwiches, although delicious, weren't cut apart adequately and that sampling was a little difficult logistically since there was no place to sit down. | ||||||

| this is a good tour for gourmands and food enthusiasts...the first 30 minutes I felt as if I was trying to be sold to eat at different restaurants...the second half of the tour which included more historical material was interesting | ||||||

| Our guide Cindy was informative, humorous, and she engaged everyone in our group. We enjoyed our leisurely walk even though it was very chilly. Food samples were generous and delicious but I think we could have had more diversity and more gourmet foods. We enjoyed having a list of recommended eateries for our next visit. Overall, a positive family experience. | ||||||
