| we liked the places we went to. our guide was professional but not especially warm. he did the job. he was not very responsive to questions asked by the group. he seemed to want to only do his spiel. would still recommend the tour! | ||||||

| The food tour was a lot of fun. The food was great and there was plenty of it. Learning a little history of the area (restaurants, architecture, etc.) was interesting and a good way to break up the tastings. | ||||||

| before we went to new york,we found this tour on the internet. we then read reviews. there weren't any that were negative, so we had to try it. we were so happy we did. we learned so much about the area , the foods, the people think highly of their neighbors-seem to really respect each other. we loved all the foods we tasted-my husband expecially loved the choc. chip cookies. our tour guide, dave, did a great job. we also were running late because of n,y, traffic, ran 6 blocks to get to murrays cheese shop, and lucked out; they were waiting for us. we were so appreciative. we would have been able to catch up, but we sure were relieved. a great tour, and we did have plenty to eat. | ||||||

| My friends and I had a fantastic time. We found out later that Dave, our guide, had just started, we never knew- he was great and gave us excellent information. The food was great, just enough to keep you satisfied. We went back after to purchase some of the items we tasted. Can't wait to do it again, hoping to do the Chelsea Market tour next year. | ||||||

Great Food, Valuable Local Food Info, Too Long

| The food and all related information was great, as was our guide. I have already returned to three of the restaurants visited or mentioned. The three hour tour was one hour too long, though, filled/fluffed out with extra blocks and extra talk to examine small architectural detail. Some neighborhood input...while moving between food venues, not standing to receive a lecture...would be interesting, but I would assume that others registering for a food tour, as was our case, are interested in food. Two hours would have been ample time to cover the food venues on this tour. | ||||||

| our guide was very well informed and the tour was very well thought out. We thought he was well mannered and we would take one of his tours again. Having lived in the metro area for a long time - this is a great way to reacquaint yourself with the area and the many changes. He gave us many good choices for dining and we ate at Monte's and just loved it! We would recommend this to all our friends. | ||||||

| Initially, I must report that our tour guide was most helpful, pleasant and informative, however, the tour itself was not what my family and I had anticipated. Our first two stops at the Indian and Italian places were absolutely fantastic! Good background and information on both places. Unfortunately, things began to go downhill from here. Our tour turned into much more of a tour centering on the landmarks and history of the area. We have taken food tours elsewhere, and concentration on the food and restaurants of the area is what we expected. The information the guide provided was informative, but we were expecting to learn more about the area's food offerings rather than its culture. The food we received was, for the most part, quite good, varied, and plentiful, but we felt we left the area with little additional knowledge of the culinary offerings of the neighborhoods. | ||||||

| Kurt was our tourguide for the Chelsea/Meatpacking district. We have been to NY over 20 times but he gave us some good pointers that only a local would be aware of. Thanks to his tip, we got into a restaurant that normally you need weeks advance notice for. The tour was just about right in length of time. The food was abundant, we definitely did not eat lunch after the tour and only a light dinner later that night. Our group was great, and Kurt remembered everyones's name!!! Next time we visit in a few months we will try the Greenwich village tour and can only hope to get Kurt again or someone equally good. Thanks alot!!!! | ||||||

| My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Chelsea Market and the meatpacking district. It was a great tour with good food along the way. The tour gave us history of the area, along with excellent insight into Chelsea Market and area restaurants. The tour guide absolutely made the tour. He was funny, knowledgable, personable, and willing to accomodate everyone to make the tour extra special. We are highly recommending this tour to our friends and family, and hope others consider it, too. No hesitation in recommending this as A+. | ||||||

| Our guide Heather was enthusiastic and well-prepared to inform us while providing appropriate pauses for questions and other breaks. We had delicious, generous samples from 8 different vendors with opportunities for other free samples and special deals after the tour. Greenwich Village has the charm of a small town nestled in the obscure corners of lower Manhattan. I learned so much history and current news of the area that it was truly an educational activity. I will highly recommend this to my friends. | ||||||

| We went to two pizza places. I would have rather tasted something of a different ethnic origin. I didn't care for the Tai choice. Maybe a different food choice to taste would have helped. Our guide had lived in Greenwich Village which was nice, but she wasn't very enthusiastic. The information she shared was interesting. The cookies were fabulous! I also went back and bought olive oil from O and Company. I'm glad we took the tour, but I wouldn't do it again. | ||||||

| I have been to New York about a dozen time, but until now the only tour that I took was the Grayline tour. This tour was great. The tour leader, Barri, was very well informed and led the group at a good pace. There was plenty of to eat and lots of good information (culinary and historical ) . I highly recommend this tour. On my next trip to NYC I plan on taking another culinary tour through Zerve. It was a real deal for the money. | ||||||
