| We brought our daughter and her friend who are in their 20's. They aren't big fans of "tours" and weren't sure at first. Kurt, our guide, was very entertaining and knowledgeable, and the girls kept repeating how glad they were that we had included this in our plans. Thanks! | ||||||

| We had a blast taking this tour. The food was great, our guide Darel was FABULOUS. We arrived late, but that was Ok , Darel went back and made sure we got the full tour. I would do this again and again. | ||||||

| My group of six consisted of four "repeat tourists' from Texas in our 50's, plus my daughter(age 25), who lives on 1st avenue in east village and her boyfriend(26y.o.), who lives in the west village. They thought it would "possibly" be interesting. Well, they were overwhelmed as were the rest of us. As tourists, it was fun for us to see all the streets and shops and restaurants('tasting' is accurate I am sure, but we felt like we more than tasted...we were 'fed')--. We didn't expect such a historical perspective--Ed really made us 'see' NY from the days of the origin of this area. As the "locals", my daughter and her boyfriend couldn't wait to go back and tell their friends about this cheese shop, this restaurant, this club....I am a travel agent and will either give this tour as a gift to my clients or tell them it is a must they must include in their visit to NYC. Tell everyone to get out of midtown; come see real NY. Molly Ryan | ||||||

| This is a fun way to spend an afternoon very interesting facts and history are imparted and our guide had lived in the neighborhood for years. I found him very genuine as people on the street passed by they all knew our guide by name. The food is okay don't expect anything gourmet (pizzas/breads/cheeses). I live in New York and know the neighborhood so I know most of the stores we stopped by but I still managed to discover one new store that I will return to. It was a lovely afternoon. | ||||||

| Mike was our guide and I have never met someone with as much knowledge about a village in my life. Mike was an excellent guide. I think the food tastings should be mixed up a little bit more...2 pizza stops in one tour is too much, considering all the variety that the village has to offer. The stop in O & Co. was AMAZING...Originally I was disappointed stopping at an olive oil store, but it was one of the best stops on the walk! The information, the tastings, the friendly staff was a true delight! I never new 8 yr old balsamic would be good on ice cream...lol The history that Mike provided on the tour was very much appreciated. We had a couple of rude people in our group that were always on their cell's and talking to one another throughout Mike's tour, but he didn't let that bother him...he showed great professionalism...I definately recommend this tour!! | This was a fun tour! I liked everything that i sampled, very unique foods!!! Tour guide, Diane, was very informative and knew what she was talking about, but she was very much a pushy new-yorker, sometimes very anoying and other times beneficial on the streets of NY!!! Very fun, and adventerous!!!!! | ||||||

| I really enjoyed the tour, but would have liked a little more variety of samples -- and fewer carbs! Loved the intro to the many great food stores and restaurants. Would have loved more entree into the meat market. And very surprised that Pearl's was not mentioned while we were learning about restaurants on Cornelia Street. When questioned, the guide gave a cursory answer about not talking about restaurants he wasn't familiar with, but it seemed perhaps that you only mention establishments that support Foods of New York .... In any case, my husband and I will definitely go on additional tours on future trips. | ||||||

| We spent the week doing all the usual first-time tourist activities, and enjoyed them all. But the Greenwich Village Food Tour was the highlight of our trip. Ed, our tour guide, was wonderful. The food was great. After the tour we went back to some of the stores on our stops and made purchases. The shop owners were all very welcoming and helpful. That night we returned for dinner. We would recommend the tour to everyone. | ||||||

| We were lucky with the weather and so spent a wonderful sunny day exploring popular and lesser-known streets in the village/soho. the tour focused on the area's history related to architecture, music and immigrants. Although we sampled quite a few different kinds of food (all tasty and interesting), I felt somewhat unsatisfied because each sampling was no more than a bite or two, and we were usually standing on the street trying to keep out of other pedestrians' way while we ate and listened. Bottom line: a good way to get to know the history and culture of this part of new york, but don't choose it solely for the food! | ||||||

| I take a tour every time I go to NYC...once a month or so....with goal of getting to neighborhoods off the beaten tourist path. I enjoyed the tour leader and the Chelsea Market area, will definetely go back for to the area on my next trip to the City. | ||||||
