| The food was very good. The guide was very articulate and knowledgeable, but spoke way too fast for non-Americans to be able to follow him easily (even for native English speakers coming from other countries!) |

| This was certainly a very special way to enjoy the foods of Japan. On the very positive side, both my husband and I found the food presented to be different, flavorful and extremely well prepared. So much of this we would probably never have ordered.
The restaurant was clean, and the staff was beyond helpful and courteous.
I had hoped to be in a room where there would be more interaction with other guests (perhaps a more casual and central kind of seating, instead of individual tables). Also thought we would get to see the preparation. It felt as if we were eating out by ourselves while someone was lecturing.
The person in charge of the evening was charming, informed and always there to be helpful. Our feeling was that too much information was being presented, and it often detracted from the dining experience. |

| I attended the sushi tasting event with my boyfriend and we both really enjoyed the experience. Our host was very pleasant and knowledgeable in Japanese Cuisine. He explained each dish we were served and its history and was very happy to take questions as we went along. We came away with a whole new understanding and appreciation for Japanese sushi and tapas. Both the quantity and quality of the food and Saki were excellent. This is a fun event for couples as well as for groups of friends to enjoy, I highly recommend it! |

| Our guide, Rahim was fantastic! His presentation was full of interesting history with plenty of fun anecdotes. It was clear that he was incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and enthusiastic about Japanese food. The sampling was much more than just a parade of raw fish. I loved it. |

| I took my fiance on this particular tour as a birthday present because he is a major foodie, and I have to say that it was one of (if not the best) present he has ever received. We both loved the food and our host was excellent keeping the evening interesting, light hearted and fun. The food was excellent!! I incedentally blurted out after my second tasting "I am so Happy!" and in all honesty I am not a foodie or a fan of Japaneese food, however this tour showed me what I had been missing in really good Japanese food (the difference between real wasabi and the "fake stuff", which I will never eat again, what really good sake tastes like) and taught me so much about "real Japanese food. I did purchase the additional beer and sake, and have to say although you will enjoy the tasting if you do not add this, your tasting is taken to another level with the additional drinks. My reccomendation would be if you can, get the drinks, but if not still take the tour you will enjoy as well.
I am looking forwrad to taking a few of the other tours... once it get a little warmer, another reason I opted for this tour as it is the only sit down in one venue tour offered, but many of the other guests who have done the "walking tours" also raved about those.
Overall, it was money well spent and I would highly recommend to anyone. |

| We eat sushi from time to time; but we always order the same things (Philly roll, California roll...). Our hope was to broaden our horizens and learn more about the different kinds of fish that are commonly eaten by the Japanese as sushi.
We were disappointed by this tasting for two reasons: the quality of the food was mediocre - because the restaurant, by our guide's own admission, was average quality, and because the food had been sitting out for some time before we ate it; and we were looking for more variety in the foods served. I must mention that asparagus wrapped in bacon and fried chicken were two particular disappointments because they were common foods we eat as Americans, even if the chicken had a ponzu sauce on it. While our guide talked about all the years of training and complex recipes involved in preparing sushi; I failed to see this applied to the rest of the presentations because they were simply a piece of plain, unseasoned, sauceless, fish on top of rice.
I was surprised that there were no fish eggs with any of the sushi. This is something I see often in sushi restaurants and always wondered about. I have seen many colors and sizes of fish eggs. It wasn't mentioned at all by our guide and I forgot to ask.
I did enjoy the host, as he gave fun facts about etiquette. He had a great personality and seemed to have alot of experience with eating sushi. |

| Wow - the quality of food, the quantity of food, the knowledge of the guide - the intimate setting, the knowledge learned - this is the only way to dine out and get a real feel of the area. Only had a weekend to see city - felt like I was multitasking in the most delightful way with like minded people to boot learning but not in a museum eating different foods - did I mention the quality!!! - laid back do not miss the sake and beer - will attempt to do all the other food tasting tours but will do this one again! |

| A really good friend of mine was turning 29 for her brithday and she is a sushi fanatic. I thought it would be cool if I got her tickets to the Sushi and Japanese Tapas tour. ( even though I am not the biggest sushi fan out there ) The place where we were was really cute and cozy. The food, from what my friend told me, wasn't like oh, I'm so full now, but it fulfilled her hunger. Overall on my part, the atmosphere, the group, and our host, Rahim, was phenomenal. Rahim really has this quirky sense of humor, he was able to hold up conversations and tell information throughout the whole event, and he talked loud enough so everyone can hear, but just the right level if you wanted to have a side conversation with whoever you were with. I would really recommend this tour. I enjoyed myself, and my friend- a week later- still can not stop telling people about it. |

| This was an excellent experience. Every minute was fun and informative. Raheem was engaging and very knowledgable. I highly recommend him. This is very much like a social dinner where there is a very interesting and talkative host. If you're the type who'd rather sit and eat in silence, this is not for you. Be ready for a fun night of laughing and learning. |
