Now we wait

The title was going to say, " The Last One.” but I did not want it misunderstood. This was the last of our FONY tours. We have taken them all. They are informative as well as fun. Over the years I have spent time in the places on the tour...Soho, The Village, Chinatown, etc., there is always something new (or old) to see. As for the food on the walking tours, wonderful. The Japanese tour was unique. Food and cultural history. We are not strangers to the food and know something of the culture. We learned alot, without it being a lecture. As for the food, Incredible. I might be partial, but I rate the Japanese Tapas tour as the best. I would be remiss if I didn't mention our guides. They have a passion for their job. To call it a job almost demeans what they do. Not to play favorites, but we had the privilege of having Raheem as our guide three times. Most notably at the Japanese Tapas event. And what are we waiting for? I heard they will be offering a new tour, perhaps in the fall.

Fun dinner--lots of information

We had a great time at the dinner. There was a ton of food and plenty to drink. The commentary was interesting and plentiful. I would have preferred one large table rather than the set up we had (each "group" had their own table). Maybe there is a different setup if someone takes them up on the "great for singles" line... This was my second Foods of NY event and I look forward to doing more!

Not Up To The Mark

Dismal room for the event and dreary music played throughout - the food was great though. Way too much listening and the host clearly couldn't wait to get out of the place towards the end of the event. Disappointing evening.

well worth it

I found this to be overwhelmingly interesting and informative. Particpants ranged from singles to groups including those with no knowledge at all to those who might have thought they knew more then they did. Host was excellent. Enjoyed all 3 hours. Lots of food and drink. Great value!

We were return customers to Rehean's tour! We were a group of 7 - 4 adults with 3 (adult) children. As always, our tour guide provided a very entertaining and knowledgeable background of the food, culture, etc. related to the food presented. There was a wide variety of food given, and our 6'4" son was full at the conclusion! I would recommend this tour to locals and tourists alike! The time flew by - and the food kept coming! We are planning to return for the Dim Sum food tour!

Good value

There was plenty of food, a ton of education, and a great atmosphere. I consider myself a "foodie" and was afraid it would be boring. I was wrong! It was a great value!

Our leader, Raheem, was brilliant! He shared more information about the history and content of all of the delicious foods we tasted, then I thought possible. It was a yummy, wonderful experience.

WAY EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!

This was an anniversary gift to my husband since we both love NYC & sushi - & although the reviews were good about this event we weren't really expecting to be overwhelmed as we do a lot of dining out. However - we were incredibly pleasantly surprised - both the guide & the restaurant were extraordinary. Our guide had TREMENDOUS knowledge on Japanese food culture & history. The restaurant food quality was VERY high end -from quality & freshness all the way through to presentation & service. The value for the money was fabulous - there is more than enough delicious food (& we are big eaters!) We did the sake & beer along with it & were also very impressed with the high quality sake that was paired with our food. I barely ever take the time to write reviews - but this one was too good to keep secret. It's a no-brainer to do this event if you like sushi & want to be fully entertained & enlightened for an evening!

We are avid fans of the walking tours...and sushi, so in celebration of my brother's graduation, we purchased tickets for the sushi taset tasting. The group was small, the food was great and we enjoyed the tour guide. I would absolutely recommend this tour!
