Our tour guide was great, very informative and personable. The food was authentic and beautifully prepared. I learned a lot and had a very fun evening. I will do another food tour when I take my next trip to NYC. I highly recommend it!

This Japanese food tasting was very informative. The food that was presented, explained and ate was delicious in every way. I definitely learned alot and will use that knowledge the next time I am out for sushi or any other Japanese food. The price is well worth it, you get more then you pay for. I will be back with friends and family.

Our leader was enthusiastic and well-informed which made for an entertaining evening. The restaurant served perfect portions of tasty tapas and sushi. We feasted with our eyes, palettes and learned a lot. Several tapas were memorable and the sake was premium grade. Thanks!

Great.

As a sushi enthusiast, I was concerned that the information would be too basic, and that the food couldn't possibly be that good for the money. I was wrong. The food was great. Amazing for the price. The information was fascinating and at just the right depth and the atmosphere and vibe of the other guests was very cool. Just a lot of serious foodies sharing a meal and stories of eating around town. I wish they did a second, higher level event centered around more esoteric sushi items like uni and ankimo, maybe not natto. Highly recommended.

An enjoyable journey into Japanese cuisine

You will enjoy this and learn even if you've loved sushi for quite some time, like me. The host is very enthusiastic and a walking wikipedia of sushi and Japanese cuisine knowledge (although not actually of Japanese origin, interestingly). The food and drinks are good, but i would think of it more as lesson material and less as of a kind of dinner one might order at a restaurant. The host will walk you through a large number of different dishes prepared in very different ways and he will probably change a few preconcieved notions in the process.

My husband and I found the tour to be great fun. We really enjoyed the food and the tour guide's explanation of Japanese tradition was very informative. We would definitely recommend the tour to others.

Terrific Food!

We are Japanese-foodophiles and this was some of the best sushi and tapas we've have outside of Japan. The group was also younger and more interesting than I expected. Thoughwe didn't learn too much, most typical japanese lovers would likely get some good nuggest of info out of it. Definitely recommended.

The Art of Sushi Rocks (and so does Raheem)
Sat, Jan 26, 08   5:00 PM Bandolik Female 30-39 Local Couple on a Date
THE MOST unique NYC experience. We learned so much about the foods we were tasting, ate amazing sushi and tapas, and drank wonderful beer and saki. Very pleasurable for a couple on a date. Raheem's knowledge of Japanese customs and foods MADE THE EVENT what it is! Do it!!
