This is my third Foods of NY experience, and I'm sure that I'll be back for another. The guide, Raheem, is very knowledgeable and engaging throughout the experience. The food was great. My girlfriend and I enjoyed tasting and learning about each dish; although, now we'll be spoiled for the rest of our sushi eating days. |

THE MOST unique NYC experience. We learned so much about the foods we were tasting, ate amazing sushi and tapas, and drank wonderful beer and saki. Very pleasurable for a couple on a date. Raheem's knowledge of Japanese customs and foods MADE THE EVENT what it is! Do it!! |

Our guide, Raheem, presented the history of sushi very enthusiastically. I found the information he provided to be very interesting. The set up was also well done. The food was generally very good although not outstanding.
I did find the cost of the total experience to be a bit pricey.
All in all, it was enjoyable and Raheem did a great job leading our course. |

Our host was wonderful. His passion definitely came through in his presentation. Food was excellent. Our expectations for sushi will be much higher. I recommend this tour to anyone who loves sushi. |

I love Japanese food and I wanted to hear more details about cooking traditions and food origins. Instead we enjoyed the food but didn’t hear anything because the guide was standing far a way from our table. I would recommend using small or big speakers and microphone to achieve what was promised. Even if another people will hear all- it’ll helps the restaurant bring more clients and make live advertisement for tour itself. Me personally – I don’t care that clients will hear that they didn’t pay for. |

This was a pretty great experience. While I'm not the biggest fan of Japanese cuisine (I went for my girlfriend, mostly), I really dug the history lesson I got on the food. The host was swell, too. If you love Nihon food (tanoshi, desu-ka?), then you'll absolutely LOVE this event.
Give it a go, pal. |

This tour was beyond our expectations, not only were we able to savor some of Japan's authentic dishes, but we are so well informed that eating sushi at our local restaurant will never be the same. The one aspect of the tour we would have wanted to see was the sushe preparation. We would have loved to have been able to see how the fish is chosen and cut and how the rolls are made. Except for this minute detailed, which we expressed to our guide, the food was excellent, the service was comparable to the food and the ambiance could not have been better.
Our tour guide was exceptional, you could sense how much he enjoys doing his job. The way in which he presented the tour was not from a pre-rehearsed script but a delivery from an extremely knowledgeable person who helps you to savor the food even before you place it in your mouth.
We have taken three of the tours already, we have enjoyed and highly recommend each one of them. But this one exceds all others by far. |

We did the Tasting Dinner with Raheem. He was very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgable about Japanese foods. My kids were spellbound. My 16yo son thought it was "really cool" He's hard to please. My 14yo daughter thought it was fun and delicious. The food & drink was great and there was more than enough. We learned while we enjoyed our Japanese dining experience. |
