| This tour was beyond our expectations, not only were we able to savor some of Japan's authentic dishes, but we are so well informed that eating sushi at our local restaurant will never be the same. The one aspect of the tour we would have wanted to see was the sushe preparation. We would have loved to have been able to see how the fish is chosen and cut and how the rolls are made. Except for this minute detailed, which we expressed to our guide, the food was excellent, the service was comparable to the food and the ambiance could not have been better.
Our tour guide was exceptional, you could sense how much he enjoys doing his job. The way in which he presented the tour was not from a pre-rehearsed script but a delivery from an extremely knowledgeable person who helps you to savor the food even before you place it in your mouth.
We have taken three of the tours already, we have enjoyed and highly recommend each one of them. But this one exceds all others by far. |

| The young man leading us was very knowlegeable about Japanese food and customs. The food was delicious and so was the saki!
I would visit this particular restaurant again and possibly participant in another event in the future!

| The entire experience was terrific! Well organised, conducted with enthusiasm and filled with informative narrative. The tasting portions are large and quite delectable. I left with an appreciation and insight into Japanese culinary traditions, and increased confidence when next ordering Japanese food. No mean feat for an evening's session. I would suggest this tour for anyone who is curious about Japanese food. It is an excellent introduction. Also, it demystifiesJapanese cuisine and makes for an evening of fun, food and great sake/beer! I have every intention of attending this again on my next visit to New York.
Our culinary guide was wonderful! Fun and open to questions. He added so much to the experience with his humour, knowledge and passion for japanese cuisine! |

| I have been on 3 of the Foods of NY tours and have enjoyed all of them. I had much anticipation for the Japanese tasting event as our guide had talked about it on the last tour we had gone on, before the Japanese event was available.
We were not disappointed! The food was excellent. We took my parents who had been to Japan and they learned a lot. This event has the same casual, fun-loving, welcoming feel as the tours. We eat sushi weekly and were thrilled to try all different types of food as well as to learn how to eat sushi "properly".
This is an event not to be missed...I hope they create others like this! |

| I would not recommend this tour to anyone who loves sushi and likes to eat. Our entire group walked away needing to eat more food. We needed to go to a local pizzeria after the tour because they were so hungry especially the males in the group.
I found the tour guide to be full of interesting facts and definitely learned some new tidbits about sushi and the japanese culture. If you added more food to the tour, it would be absolutely amazing!! |

| WE HAD A GOOD MIX OF REAL JAPANESE TAPAS, SASHIMI,SUSHI,BEER, SAKE,AND DESERT ALONG WITH AN ENTHUSIASTIC GUIDE TO BRING THE WHOLE EXPERIANCE TOGETHER. GREAT JOB RAHEEM!!!! LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MORE EXOTIC SAMPLING ADVENTURE IN THE NEAR FUTURE. MAY I SUGGEST SAMPLING SOME BAD SAKE SO WE CAN COMPARE IT TO THE GOOD ONES WE HAD.KEEP THAT FRESH WASABI ON THE MENU IT WAS A RARE AND MEMORABLE TREAT.HOPE TO HAVE ANOTHER DAY OUT WITH YOU SOON.

| since I was by myself and everyone else was with a couple, I felt a little out of the loop. Perhaps a more informal introduction to get conversation going amongst ourselves would have been helpful. Other than that, Rasheem was an incredible presenter and the food was lovely. Thank you for such a great experience. I would reccomend it to anyone. |
