an excellent experience; our group which consisted of one male and two females of a certain age had a great time; our guide, susan, was extremely knowledgeable about the village; the food was very good and more than i expected; she told great stories about the area, the buildings and the clubs, restaurants and stores; i was expecially interested because my father was born in the village and it was where i used to hang when i was in college; although i have been to the area many times, it was great to hear the history and to find some of the small shops and restaurants that i had never noticed before; all in all a great day; recommended highly

This is our second food tour experience. Although we enjoyed the food on the traditional Greenwich Village tour more, this was also very informative and fun. The tour guide was a wealth of knowledge. It's a great way to learn more about the village while experiencing the diverse food culture.

Overall I enjoyed the tour, it was very informative, providing a historical overview of the area and highlighting current hotspots. But since the tour was specifically a "Food Tour" I expected a little more emphasis on the food culture and tastings. I would have appreciated more tasting stops as there was certainly enough time for them.

My brother and I sent our mother and his godmother as a Mother's Day present. It was a huge hit. Both women love trying new resturants and found the selections excellent. They told us that one place was better than the next. The best part was they learned history about New York that after 47 years living here they did not know. They are even thinking of brining some friends on one of the tours when they arrive from out of state in September. Highly recommend for tourists and locals!

This tour went above and beyond my expectations. The web mentioned 4 tastings and we were actually given eight. Everything was delicious! It was not only a food walking tour but there was a little history included too. We also got to see the Central Perk from Friends! I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting the city!

I had a very enjoyable tour with Dave, he was very knowledgeable about the area & gave us great tips on where to go for an evening meal. The food was excellent and I enjoyed everything that I tried. There was definitely a lot & I was struggling with it all in the end. I went to Fish on Bleeker St for dinner one night & had the Oysters & Wine special - absolutely the best tip from the tour for me!

Four women in their 50's took the Chelsea Mkt/Meatpacking Tour. We had a blast. Our guide, Kurt, was knowledgeable, funny, and enthusiastic. I especially liked the Buonitalia market and the little snack there. All the food was great. After the tour, we went back and purchased some items we had sampled.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour through Greenwich Village. The restaurants chosen provided great samples of various types of foods available in different cuisines. Our guide Barri was very well versed in the history of the neighborhood, the streets, the buildings, and the architecture. The 3 hour walk was done at a comfortable pace with plenty of opportunity to stop and rest for a few minutes at a time. There was enough food sampled to ensure no one left hungry. This is a great way to see one of the more famous areas of New York City up close. We will be sure to take another one of these tours when we come back.

I was in New York with 8 girlfriends. We took the 3 hour walking/eating tour of Greenwich Village and had a great time! The food was wonderful and our tour guide Barri was a very good historical guide to the West Greenwich Village area. I learned things I wouldn't have learned anywhere else and found some fabulous eateries with websites! If you're interested in seeing some back street New York sites and love to eat, this is the tour for you!

We had an excellent tour guide, who was enjoyable, informative, and made the whole experience worth every minute spent on the tour. He made you as interested in the history of not only the specific district, but the area of the city in which change has been and is currently taking place. The walk through the neighborhoods was also a treat as well as within the market. A totally enjoyable experience.

Our guide Kurt did a wonderful job at keeping us fed and interested in the sites and history of the Chelsea area. Would recommend taking this tour and will try another tour when i go back to NYC!!

I found that we heard more about the history of the area than the history of the food. The food tastings were excellent, but there weren't many of them. I can't believe the sparse food offerings for the cost of the tour (3 hours). I was also disappointed that we spent almost an hour walking around a park. If that entire section had been cut out, the tour would have been far better.
