I would highly recommend this for a group outing. I made a point to include it in the agenda for my sister bachelorette party and the girls loved it. The tour was fun, informative, filling, and gave the girls a common talking point later. Our guide (Amy) was phenomenal, giving just the right amout of info about the area and the food but letting us taste and talk amongst ourselves. The variety and scope of food covered was impressive. Every tasty morsel left you wanting more but before you knew it you were some where new. I think every detail of this tour has been carefully considered and that lended to a great experience. My group insisted on visiting many of the places immediately after the tour to pick up some treats. I know I'll be visiting many of the places again. Needless to say everyone in my group is already planning on trying the tour in another neighborhood. |

This was our 2nd time taking this tour - and it was just as much fun as the first. Highly recommend it to visitors and locals alike. We are looking forward to taking some of the other tours that are offered. |

Even though I've lived in the New York area all of my life, I never seem to run out of fun things to do in Manhattan. And a Foods of NY tour is certainly one of them. My family took the West Village tour a few years ago and it was fabulous. So when my wife and I decided to take a mini vacation in the city last week, we included another F.O.N.Y tour. It was terrific, just as before. The food tasting stops were great and very diverse. Our tour guide, Rashid, was excellent. He enthusiastically explained the colorful history of the area and of the various locations we visited. His fabulous sense of humor became especially apparent as he told numerous anecdotes about the famous (and infamous) people who've lived in Greenwich Village over the years. I would highly recommend this tour to both visitor and native New Yorker alike. |

The weather cooperated and we met our guide Maria at 11:00 in Greenwich. The tour took off right on time after we each received a bottled water. We walked and learned historical facts and saw exact places where pople like O. Henry & other writers lived and wrote their books and pieces. In between we learned about local establishments that had been around for 100 years....then tasted their food which was just cooked for us and very tasty. A huge success and we will do another one. Our group was mixed from all over America. Loved it and our guide was great...Maria. |

We had no idea what to expect, but loved this experience. Our tour guide, Cindy, was so fun and knowledgeable and the food was very tasty! I've been to NYC many times and loved doing this as a different way to get to know the city, meet some other folks and find some great food. I'll do another next time I'm in town. |

Our guide, Cindy, was entertaining and very informative. Her knowledge of the area's history was outstanding and made the tour more than just a food tasting exercise. Having said that, the quality and quantity of food was also outstanding! |

A great way to learn about the history and architecture of West Greenwich Village, and a great way to learn about the people and culture of Greenwich Village through food. Marie, our tour guide was fun... a great sense of humor, and very knowledgable about the area (she's a Village native). If this is your first time in New York City, the tour is a great way to make friends, and learn about the city. |

We met Cindy and she was wonderful ! We started on time at the Chelsea Market and learned about the building and history of nebisco as well as the meat packing industry. Cindy was brilliant , keeping us interested, answering our questions and providing us with Six different samples from food places inside. Then after a short stroll outside the Meat packing area we ended up at an extremely popular upscale Italian Restaurant for a homemade pasta dish that was delicious. We sampled chocolate milk, bisquets and jam, red velvet cupcakes, new England clam chowder, lobster bisque , Australian meat pie and an Italian pic mic of fresh mortadella and prosciutto served with rolls, artichoke dip, olives and cheese and marinated onions!!!! Plenty of food! These tours are all fantastic. |

I decided to do something unique for my best friends birthday and even though we our native New Yorkers, this was a great experience. Our tour guide, Cindy, was not only knowledgeable but friendly and funny. She has a zest for food, culture and history. It just rounded it out the whole experience and I would definitely recommend the tour to others.

I purchased this tour as a surprise for my boyfriend. I was a little apprehensive at first because it was pricier than other food tour companies, but my two of my co-workers had done the tour in the past and they said it was excellent. They were right! The food was delicious and the tour guide was so energetic and knowledgeable. At the beginning of the tour I told her I lived in the Financial District so throughout the tour she threw in a few little facts about the FiDi. It was cool that she personalized so much! Also all the food was amazing! |

Anny, the tour guide, is a lot of fun. She brings an energy to the tour that seems boundless. She is not only very knowledgeable about the restaurants and the food we ate but the whole history of the area. The tour stops in 6 or 7 different restaurants ranging from Italian to Mexican, cupcakes to french bread. There are many stops along the way to get a feeling of the history of the area (mafia connections), the various interesting buildings (the candle building) and shops (the new york shaving company). The three hours flew by, and Anny made it fly by with her humourous descriptions and her genuine interest of the things she was showing us. I highly recommend this tour. |

I purchased this tour for my boyfriend's birthday and we are both so glad to have gone on this tour! We live locally, on the Upper East Side, but never make our way downtown. It was a fun, relaxing, casuel experience where we learned a lot about Nolita, ate a lot of delicious food and met a lot of interesting people from around the country. We would definitely do this tour again and are interested in pursuing other tours provided by this company. Thanks, Anny (tour guide) for a wonderful day! |
