Best part, of course, was the food tasting (especially the croissant from French Oven!). I was surprised by how much food there was to sample - it really was a good lunch (although the courses were not in order - I love having dessert first and last). I've been to Chelsea Market several times before (Frank's) but will definitely go back more often. It personalized the place in a way that made it more approachable. I'm from a small town on Long Island where you know who owns & runs the supermarket and after the day was over I felt that same familiarity with Chelsea Market. Looking forward to seeing how the Meat Packing District will change even more in the next few years. Thanks! |

Loved the tour. The best was our guide, Kurt. He really made the tour. He was funny and seemed to have alot of info. He also seemed to love what he was doing. Would definitely recommend this to people. |

Our tour guide, Mike, was excellent. I was really taken with the place and of course, enjoyed all the food.
If you wanted to improve the tour, I would add one of the "sit down" type restaurants and include some small appetizer from their menu. I would add wine to the stop at Murray's Cheese shop. You could probably remove the Yatagan Kebab House as their food, while good, seemed nothing special.

Our guide Darryl was darling, fun & knowledgeable!! He was enthusiastic and flexible. It was awesome to learn so much history of the Chelsea Market as well as the Meatpacking District. The food was amazing and so interesting. Definitely filled us up for lunch. I would recommend it to anyone and looking forward to going on another tour soon! |

The way to see NYC

This is a great way to see NYC. Once you have done the typically touristy attractions this is the way to see "real" New York City. There was an array of different foods to be tasted from various neighborhood establishments. The cultural portion of the tour was facinating. I will highly recommend this to my friends traveling to the city.

My husband and I loved the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District tour. It combines two activies we enjoy - eating and learning about new areas. Even though I lived in New York for several years, it was still interesting to find out the history of some of these artisinal shops and get to taste the food. I would highly recommend this tour to others - both local and out-of-towners. |

We were interested in both the food and the history of The Village. We got a great dose of both. The guide was great and really appeared to love what he was doing and certainly was not just going through the motions. |

I'd done this same tour in 2002 with another friend. This trip was with my mom and she loved it too. It had changed just enough to be interesting again.
Love Joe's Pizza!! |

I wish I could stay inside some of the restaurants and meet with the owner, it wil be better if we would try more varieties of food than pizza. I would expect more for this price of the tour. |

I had seen this review on line and so decided it would be interesting to do. It was fantastic. Our guide was fun, lively and presented everything with such enjoyment. She really provided a once in a lifetime experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone coming to New York. It is different than many of the things you would normally do and is a must do when visiting the city. |

What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon if you've never been to Greenwich Village...Michael was very, very knowledgable of all of the history and current happenings in this area. I would hate to think that anyone could visit this area and leave without knowing this area the way I do now. A MUST SEE!!!! My girlfriends and I returned to a restaurant and a bar later in the evening and were VERY pleased with the everything. |

I would highly recommend this tour to everyone! Our guide was extremely
knowledgeable of the area. My daughters (20yr ,22yr) where so surprised of the
knowledge and history our guide gave us. (They told everyone they saw about this
tour.) If you want to learn about the area, food, and people of Greenwich, take this
tour. The food was PLENTY and great! The walk and pace was fine. People would stop and listen to our guide or some had him last year would come up to him and thank him. The locals were wonderful to us. This tour made our trip!!! THANKS
The only regret, we should have book this tour at the beginning of our time in
New York, so we could have gone back to the area and enjoyed it all over again! |

We were a group on a short trip - long weekend - and this tour provided the right balance of culture and indulgence. It was particularly good for the birthday girl - who had had a heavy night in the bar and needed the pizza to sober up!!!
The speakeasy was a firm favourite!
