Foods of New York Tours

Robert, our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area, the foods and venues visited. Tastings were very good and the vegetarian in our group was very impressed at the extra effort that was taken to accommodate them. We have traveled extensively and not found this type of tour anywhere. It was nicely paced taking into consideration the very hot weather and holiday weekend. Highly recommended for any age.

What a wonderful afternoon! I'm from New Jersey and my children are now adults - so no more sports activities filling up our weekends - Thank God! Trying to take advantage of all that NYC has to offer. The tour was informative, the guide (Cindy) was so pleasant and enthusiastic, the food delicious and just a great way to spend an afternoon. I can't wait to try the Greenwich Village Tour. Others that attended the Chelsea Mkt. Tour highly recommended that one as well.

My two daughters and I took the Greenwich food tour with Bert who did an awesome job. We really enjoyed all of the history he shared with us about the area. He knew all kinds of things besides the tasting information. He was very well informed about all of the businesses he represented also.I was also impressed with the owner who personally walked a late customer to meet the group at their first stop. I have already recommended the tour to some friends coming in July and we are definitely going to do another when we come back to New York.

This was a lot of fun and with a touch of history and great food. Our tourguide was excellent:-)

I travel to NY city about 8 times a year and have for 15 years. I have only been to NY as a tourist twice. This has been on the trip both times and I will do it again. It is worth every penny. I have had two different tour guides and they were both excellent. You eat, tour and get plenty of history about the meat packing district. I went with my husband and his brother and sister in law. They loved so much we had to take Subway back just to eat the same things again. NY is known for food and these tours are the BEST.

The tour was a perfect way to spend 3 hours in NYC! Our tour guide was amazing, friendly, and highly competent! We have gone on two of their tours and will continue to do this each time we visit NYC!

My husband and I both really enjoyed the tour. It was my favorite tourist activity while we were visiting New York. I woul definitely recommend the tour!

The tour guide was good and very informative. We learned a lot about the history of the area (soho/greenwich). The food was excellent and I sampled types I had not had before. Only one comment - we were told we didn't have time to shop and we figured that meant in stores we passed on our tour. However, we visited a coffee shop, did not receive a sample (why not?) and in that store while people were looking around, I bought some coffee beans - then was reminded we weren't supposed to shop. Not good public relations. If I were sampling in a restaurant and then decided to buy something to take home while everyone else was still eating, it makes no sense to have to go back to the restaurant (or store) in order to purchase something when I am right there (granted - if it was going to take 20 minutes to prepare I could understand that). Suggestion - don't take people to the coffee vendor if we're not going to receive a sample or be allowed to buy anything.

My mom and sisters and I did this food tour and it was the highlight of our New York visit! The food was delicious, the guide was very knowledgeable, and the places we visited covered everything from education about olive oil to simply enjoying the best cannoli I have ever eaten. A great way to experience the food and culture of Greenwich Village!

Our Guide, Curt, provided us with an afternoon of fun, laughs,history (was it all true??) and plenty of good eats. The restaurants and shops chosen as part of this tour were perfect. So great to nosh through an old historic part of the Village. We would heartily recommend this tour.
