Really good tour, lots of fantastic places to see, delicious food to try and restaurants to go back and visit. Definitely don't eat much before as you will be stuffed by the end! A really good way of combining trying different foods and restaurants and also visiting lots of interesting buildings en route. Would definitely recommend, my only regret is that I did this on the last day of my trip and not earlier on so I could go and properly try out all the restaurants and cafes and explore the area more. Still, guess that means I'll have to go back and visit! |

This tour gives you a "snap shot" of the history, culture, and of course, the food of this great community of Greenich Village. Our tour guide was filled with antedotes, history, and restaurant recommendations. The food we tasted along the way made our walking very enjoyable & memorable. This was a nice slice of New York City that we would have missed or overlooked. |

Recommended for people who loves eating. The tour offers a variety of food to taste from pizza, kebab to canolli and they were all very good. The guide was very informative and provided us with some insights to the background of each food outlets and what is their must-have dish. On top of this, we walked around Greenwich village - a one of a kind area - very cosy. After the tour had ended, we actually went back to some shops and bought some food & pastry to take home. We will definitely try a different tour for our next visit to NY... |

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, gave us a real inside to the local scene within Greenwich village as well as some history and details about the building architecture. The food tasting was great, we went back on our own to a couple of the restaurants which were recommended by our guide and totally enjoyed our meals. I would definately recommend this tour for anyone visiting NYC. |

Overall, I found this tour to be very enjoyable. As a local, I got to learn more about some of my favorite Greenwich Village spots. However, I was surprised to see that many mainstays were not mentioned or visited -- Magnolia Bakery, Corner Bistro, and Mamoun's to name a few. I also thought the tour was a little heavy on the pastries. But I had a great time and would absolutely recommend this tour to others. |

We were a group of five adults who live in Queens, New York and decided we wanted to enjoy our City as tourists.
We had a really fun day and to see the changes in the area was unbelievable. Our tour guide Cindy was very informative and the sampling of the food was plentiful. All in all we had a very pleasant afternoon.
Would recommend it to all. |

This tour was exceptional! From the food served, the excellent organization of the tour to the extremely knowledgeable tour guide - it was Four Stars all the way! After taking this tour I plan to take all of the tours offered by Foods of NY. Being a native New Yorker, you don't learn this type of stuff from just living here... take the tour! |

The tour started on a light hearted and comical note as the guide introduced himself and then learned about each group member. The guide that we had was very knowlegable about everything he told us. He kept us entertained and informed at all times. The different foods were delectable treats and the history of Greenwich Village was interesting. I would recommend this tour to all and hope that all the tour guides are as wonderful as ours was. Also, wear your walking shoes and be ready to keep up. |

I took my mother on the Greenwich Village Food and Cultural Tour as a birthday gift. She was absolutely thrilled, as was I. We have been to New York many times, but always avoided the Village - we were intimidated by the confusing streets, and by the fact that we simply didn't know where to go or how to navigate. After this tour, we can't wait to go back. Our guide, Barry, was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun! We learned a lot about the history and architecture of the area, and got a good feel for places we'd like to visit again. The food was outstanding. The tour included the best slice of pizza I have ever eaten, as well as cheeses, pastries, olives, bread, cookies, candy, and more. We also visited an old speakeasy, and the most charming restaurant with private room I have ever seen. The walk is the perfect length, and combines the right balance of walking, stopping, and eating. My one bit of advice is that you should not eat breakfast before the tour. There is simply so much food on this walk that there is no way you can eat it all if you have eaten beforehand.
Whether this is your first visit to New York or your fiftieth, you should include this tour on your agenda. It is one of the most enjoyable things we have done in the city. Many of the streets are off the beaten path - you almost forget you are in New York! An added bonus is the packet distributed at the start of the tour - it includes helpful information, restaurant recommendations, coupons, and a map. Take this tour - it's a great bargain and it's something you won't soon forget! |

Jenny, our guide was terrific. This was our first time in NYC, and we learned so much about Greenwich Village that we came back the next day and ate breakfast, lunch and had Amy's Breads pack us a boxed meal for our train ride back home to Virginia. We also took home pastrys from Roccos and went back to the Herb shop and bought some items as well.
We would have never known about all the delightful places in GV had we not taken the tour. I've already recommended it to a friend that's visiting NYC next month.
I would definately would do this tour (or one like it) again.
Thanks!!!! |

Don't miss the culinary walking tour of Greenwich Village for a highly interesting and tasty three hours. You won't need lunch afterwards so the trip is great value. Wear comfortable shoes though as there is a fair amount of walking - this is part of the fun but it might not be quite so good if you have high heels on. |
