We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The food was wonderful. The guide was entertaining.

Our guide was phenomenal. He made the tour interesting, interactive, and informative, while also being entertaining. The food portions were huge, we were surprised at the serving sizes. Chelsea Market will be added to our routine stops when we are next in NYC. Highly recommend this to any NYC visitor and I look forward to another tour on my next visit!

I HAD A GREAT TIME! WE SAW A NEW PART OF THE CITY. EVEN THOUGH I LIVED IN NYC FOR A LONG TIME, IT WAS BEFORE THIS AREA WAS "ACCESSIBLE". I ENJOYED THE TASTY TREATS AND BOUGHT A LOT OF FOOD GIFTS. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANY ADULT INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT THIS AREA AND WILLING TO WALK FOR FOOD!!!

We had read the reviews when booking the tour and were very excited. The tour was above and beyond our expectations. Our tour guide was well informed and made it fun. The tour moved along at a comfortable pace and we enjoyed learning about the variety Chelsea Market has to offer. The different foods were fantastic and we were surprised by the samples provided, i.e. expected a bite size piece, not a whole cookie! We highly recommend this tour and have already told a number of friends and family all about it. We're looking forward to taking another food tour on our next visit to New York City.

We are four women from Valley Forge PA who were spending an overnite NYC. The tour was a fun way to spend and afternoon in NYC. The Chelsea market was very interesting and we enjoyed tasting all of the food. When we took the outside part of the tour in the meat packing district that was very informative and our guide provided a lot of background information that was fascinating. We actually saw a truck unloading the meat on to the hooks. There are many upscale boutiques opening in the area and we also went in a couple of the new restaurants.

The tour guide Michael was extremely entertaining & provided lots of insider tips. Loved the food samples! Will be recommending this tour to anyone I know who is planning a NY trip.

I have taken a LONG time to respond to this request for a review, not because I didn't enjoy the tour (I LOVED IT!) but because I got side tracked with other activities and then thought it was unfair not to respond to your request for a review when I enjoyed the tour so much. The places we visited were unique, especially Chomley's ---- I hope it is able to be saved so that I can take my husband there next trip to NY. I went back to several of the shops the day after the tour so that I could make some purchases. The tour guide Michael was one of a kind and he really made the day. I also took your tour of Chelsea Market and the Meat Packing District and again the tour leader was great so well done on your choice of staff. In New York I took 7 tours ( two were even free) and they were all very good but I must say I enjoyed your Foodies Tours the most. Keep up the good work Merle Merle from Australia.

We were recommended the tour by a friend and would have no hesitation in carrying on that tradition. While advertised as a "food tour", and there certainly was a focus on food, the tour actually was greater than that covering as it did the history and sights of Greenwich Village. The visit to Chumleys speakeasy was particularly appreciated as it is likely that we would have missed the establishment totally unless it had been pointed out and it is doubtful if we would have had the opportunity to view Chumleys in such a relaxed manner if we had visited during its official opening hours. While some of the descriptions of the various establishments visited bordered on hagiographic, probably understandable given the symbiotic relationship between the tour and the establishments, there was an obvious underlying realism to the vast majority of the tour. We did the tour on the first day of our vist to NY which in our view absolutely the right thing to do. Not only did it help blow away the travel cobwebs but it helped as an introduction to NY.

I made the reservations for myself and my cousin and then had second thoughts since she has lived in the area for 35 years. Not only was I very pleased with the experience, she also enjoyed it and experienced some things that she didn't know about. The food tastings were just wonderful and we returned to one of the restaurants highlighted on the tour later in the week. Michael has a passion for the area and it shows in everything he shared. Our tour guide (Michael) was very informative and entertaining. He shared wonderful stories about the area and made each stop exciting. The food was absolutely amazing. I was highly impressed with the size of each serving. I will recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting New York City. It was the best $40 I've spent in a long, long time!

Guide (Mike) was very informative and enthusiastic about the area and all it has to offer. We look forward to returning on our own and trying some of the suggested restaurants/shops

I would have never known about this area if it wasn't for the tour! I really enjoyed seeing an area of NYC that was as touristy. The food was really good and the tour guide very helpful.

A special thanks to Curt for his knowledge, enthusiasm and humour. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the tour. Later, we went for dinner at one of the recommended restaurants and enjoyed a memorable meal and a wonderful evening. Many thanks from Canada.

Our day spent doing the Greenwich Village food tasting tour and visiting the Village was our favorite day of our visit to NYC. The food samples were very generous and good variety. We had many interesting stops -- far more than we had anticipated and we were surprised with how much we saw and how much of the history and culture was provided. There are several hidden spots on the tour that were really fascinating. Our tour guide, Kurt, was excellent. Not only is he a great tour guide but he also had us laughing during much of the tour (Kurt is also a stand-up comic) -- it was such a fun expericence. We used the tour handout of information to continue our visit in the evening and went to a great restaurant and music venue in the area --what a great day! I would highly recommend this tour.

We - family with two kids (7;8) had a great time. We liked the food, we liked the historical part of the tour and we came back the next day, to try some of the shops we went to at the tour. If you do go with kids, your kids should be interested and should be able to listen for a good while and willing to walk. Our kids like doing stuff like this and they like to try different food. Otherwise it might be a long tour for them. We will try the other tour they offer, because we had such a great time. It was worth the money we did spent on. You get to see NYC from a different side. Enjoy your tour
