Foods of New York Tours

Our tour guide, Susan, was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining! But the food was fantastic!!! This is the second time on this tour (we have done them all)...and we loved the new additions!! Already planning to re-do the rest of them again. I highly recommend these tours..the food is always great, we learn so much about the neighborhoods and the price is amazing!!! You can't go wrong!

The tour of the Chelsea Market was a fun and informative time that we thoroughly enjoyed. Our guide was well informed and animated which made the three hours pass by quickly. I would enthusiastically recommend this tour to all.

Annie is a delightful person who made our tour so perfect. The food was good, but it is the guide who makes it all worthwhile.

Barri, our leader, was knowledgeable and fun. Food was abundant and delicious. A happy mixture of food, history and architecture. We are already looking for another tour and an opportunity to bring friends back to the Village to the shops and restaurants we visited. We want to do it all again!

I bring lots of tour groups to NYC mainly for Broadway Shows, but I always include a Foods of New York Tour during their stay in the "BIG APPLE." Foods of NY Tours are the best . . all my clients love them . . the get a great history lesson of the different neighborhoods and always wonderful food. Their guides are the best . . friendly , knowledgeable, professional and fun, fun, fun. My clients always rave about their Food tours and consider them to be a highlight of their time in NYC. I've done all their different tours and each one is over the top wonderful.

Sephra did an outstanding job! Gave a lot of background and details that I was not expecting but enjoyed it very much.

We had a family group of 6 people. Two of the 6 are serious cooks, all 6 are serious eaters! The rest of our group consisted of quite an age span, from college students to retired folk. There was something for everyone. The choice of tastings was perfect for us and I didn't see many empty plates from the rest of the group so they must agree. Besides a gastronomical experience, Sephrah guided us down streets and explained some of the history of the area-- a historical experience as well. This is my second "Foods of N.Y." tour and I highly recommend them. It is a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Broadway! Sephrah was exceptional and made our tour most enjoyable!!

Learning the history of the West Village neighborhood was very interesting. I liked all the food we had and even went back and bought from two of the stores. We are planning on visiting some of the restaurants that we had samples from. Well worth the 3 hours.

This is our third Foods of New York Tour and it was another great experience. Anny was the best guide ever! She immediately knew everyone by name and was engaged with the entire group from the get-go. This area is rich with history and Anny told the stories as we walked (in the rain!) from one restaurant to another. A couple of the places did not welcome us in - we had to eat our food sample while huddled under awnings outside, and that was not a high note. I understand that they are teeny, tiny places so I see why it's a necessity, but i didn't learn enough about their food/ambiance to be enticed to go back. The establishments that greeted us with seating and delectable food get high points. I would definitely recommend this tour.

I met my cousins for this wonderful tasting tour of the Chelsea/Meat packing district. The tour guide made it very special. He remembered everyone's name, gave detailed information and tips about food and the places we visited, and made us feel we were all friends. Kurt knew his stuff! He even included a birthday cake for my cousin and a special treat for my friend who couldn't make the tour at the last minute. I got so excited about this tour, I want to do another one next year with my family and friends. Definitely worth it!

Kurt was our most excellent and entertaining guide! would love to have him again!!!

Our guide, Raheem, made this an awesome experience - filled with fascinating facts about The Village and its history. The geography came alive for my daughter and me, and the foods, venues and owners were sooo wonderful. Can't wait to try another tour when I return! I hope it's with Raheem.

What a wonderful time I had. I not only sampled some wonderful food, but I learned a bit of Greenwich Village and its unique history. I'll be back!

We will definitely do this tour again, on a return trip. Our tour guide was excellent. Think his name was Rashib. We really enjoyed the food we sampled.

This tour included some fascinating food places as well as a good description of the history of the area. There was plenty of food to taste and a very good variety. We all were quite satiated when finished.
