My sister and I took the tour together on our visit from California. It was one of the highlights of our first trip to New York. We loved the Chelsea Market and Kurt's knowledge and stories were amazing. He showed us so many things during the three hour tour including a visit to a friend's bed and breakfast for dessert. The Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District are fascinating and the tour was worth every penny. The food stops and tastes were wonderful. |

We greatly enjoyed the food and history as Cindy led us through Greenwich Village. We would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to sample great food and restaurants and learn more about the Village. We had to return to some of the recommendations for gifts and more samplings of food immediately after the tour! |

Do this on your first day in hopes that you may return to enjoy some of the wonderful restaraunts. If you must eat before do it early, don't eat right before the tour as I did or you will be way too full. Great places, wonderful knowledgeable guide. I would love to see this tour in other areas of the city like China town or Little Italy. |

This was my first trip to New York. The food tour was recommended by a client. I was so pleased with the tour guide. I expected a walking tour of a few restaurants. What I got was so much more. Our guide had a sense of humor, was very knowledgable about the history of New York and Greenwich. The establishments we visited (and ate at..yum) were rooted in the history of the town. The food we tasted was so delicious, fresh, and was a wonderful blend of culture that reflected my image of New York. I will definitely be back to New York and especially to take my husband on the tour. |

We had a great experience. Everything about it was wonderful from the food.. Greenwich Village history... to our tour guide, Cindy... alias Susie Smooze. Cindy is passionate about her love of the village and it spilled over to all of us on the tour. Next time we visit the city we are staying and eating in the village. I guess the best compliment was paid by my husband when he said, "I hit a home run," by making the arrangements to take the tour. Dress warmly for winter conditions. |

We had a group of eight girls from 3 different states that take a nice trip once a year. This year was New York. We thought Broadway and shopping would be our favorite, but we all agreed the Greenwich Village Food Tasting and Cultural Tour was the best! Berry our tour guide was awesome! She was very informative, humorous and most knowledgeable when bombarded with questions. The food was wonderful (and much more than the "bite size" portions we were expecting) and the local cultural tidbits were very interesting and amazing. It was great and we'll all definitely suggest this tour to all our friends. Thanks!! |

This tour was the highlight of our trip to New York. Our hostess, Bari, was excellent. She was a wealth of information and shared her knowledge with us. I found the whole tour to be informative, interesting and fun. It was wonderful to see the back streets of Greenwich Village and hear about the history and some of the people who live there today. The food was an added bonus. Everything was delicious. Our only regret was that we hadn't taken this tour first so we could have returned to Greenwich Village to enjoy all the fine restaurants and visit the shops. Unfortunately, we were returning home later in the day. When we return to New York City, we will take the tour again and perhaps even make Greenwich Village our base. I also look forward to taking other tours offered by Verve / Foods of New York. I work in the travel industry in Hamilton, Ontario and plan to recommend this tour to everyone and anyone who is interested and even those who are not! Thank you for offering such a wonderful tour and our sincerest thanks to our hostess. |

Very much enjoyed our tour. Would like to do additional tours in other areas of the city, but only on week days. Please provide us with any information about tours of this type. Those conducted by Cindy would be a plus. We would be concerned that anyone else would fall short. |

Micheal, our guide, seemed to know and be known by everyone in the village. His knowledge of the area and the background stories made the tour very entertaing, the time just flew by. Under his guidance we wre introduced to the many different food styles found in the area. We saw parts of the village that as a visitor to the area you would never have seen. The next time we visit New York we will do this tour again, and this time we will stay in a hotel in the area for a few days to put the knowledge the tour imparts to good use. |

We thought that this was a great way to get a feel for a such a famous neighbourhood - lovely food, lots of interesting information from Barri and a nice friendly atmosphere on the tour. Our only disappointmwent was that we did not have longer in New York to go back and eat at some of the marvellous places that Barri had introduced. |

The tour was wonderful- the guide truly knew the city and all of the fun details that the guidebooks won't tell you. It was great to walk around and get the scoop on an upcoming area of NYC. You won't leave hungry, that's for sure! The guide never made us feel rushed and pointed out all the fun details, historical aspects and current day stories of the area. I took another bus tour the day before and learned nothing- this tour was great because it was a small group (about 12 people) and it felt very hands-on. Guide was great! |

This was an excellent tour. The tour guide, Michael Karp, was knowledgeable and helpful. Learned so much about the area and now have a handle on where to go and what to do in future visits. The food sampling was very good and the handouts of information about the area, including a map, a very, very nice touch. I would definitely recommend this tour for future visitors. |

Our group of 5 adults found the tour a great way to learn about the history of the area and the present businesses. The guide really sounded like he was having fun - and his enthusiasim was contageous! The food was good. After the tour we returned to the Market to shop. |
