My husband and I frequently visit NYC from New Mexico (at least once, and up to 3 times a year). As arts professionals, we generally spend most of our time in the theater district, not only to see shows, but also because neighborhoods like Greenwich Village can be more confusing to us.
This tour was a perfect experience for my husband and I, not only because it allowed us to see a really fun part of the city without getting lost, but it was also an excellent way to try new food and get interesting historical information. The food was really great and just diverse enough. (Not too adventurous, but not what we'd eat at home either) The size of the tour was ideal, so it didn't feel like we got too much or too little attention.
We loved it so much that we went back to the neighborhood and patronized 3 different establishments in the following days.
The only thing my hubby and I weren't totally sold on was the chocolate chip cookie from Milk and Cookies. We both felt it was sub-par even to McDonald's cookies (we realize how trashy that makes us sound). It was our opinion that a more adventurous cookie would have been more fun and probably tasted better.
I plan to go back on different tours on subsequent trips, and may even return to this one when bringing other friends to the city. |

This tour came highly recommended by good friends. We had high expectations and we were not disappointed. The leader Cindy was enthusiastic, well informed, and funny. We will recommend this tour to others and look forward to taking another tour at a later date. |

Our guide was very informative and remembered everyones name which was nice.. The food was good, but it was very filling with a lot of breads, fried food, and pasta. I would have liked to see a little less with more quality. The best food of the day was the Indian "wrap" with egg. Also the Cuban restaurant was very warm in the back room, and the day wasn't terribly hot. We had a very nice group and overall an enjoyable walk with my family. |

We did the tour at the end of our stay in NYC and wished we had done it at the front end so that we could go back and enjoy some of restaurants and shops. |

This food tour opens your eyes to a very unique neighborhood in Greenwich Village. Our tour guide was Sephrah. She was hilarious. My wife and I loved her sense of humor and the knowledge that she possessed about the food scene and history of the surrounding area. I would definitely request her. She all made us feel relaxed and "at home" in NYC. Thanks guys!! |

My husband and I lived in the city, but have often felt overwhelmed by the variety of food options in the West Village. The tour was the perfect blend of eating, neighborhood history, and recommendations for local artisinal shops.
Loved it! |

This tour surpassed our expectations. The guide was very knowledgable about the area and we learned lots of fun facts, not to mention the food was great! We had 9 tastings and after the tour weren't hungry for the rest of the day! We weren't too sure initially about the price of the tour as it was on the high side, but all things considered, we now think it was well worth it and were glad we did it! It was the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get the local taste and learn about the city! |

This food tour was the best experience I've had sofar in he city. I went with a group of interns living outside the city for the summer. We were looking for something fun and unique to do and stumbled upon this tour. The tour guide was awesome, very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. The best part was getting to try so many different types of food without having to invest in a full meal from each place. We now have several places to go back to once we hit the city streets another weekend. I would definitely recommend this if you're unfamiliar with the city and looking for a different type of tourist experience! |
