Foods of New York Tours

The tour was fun, informational, and interesting. The tour guide was very informed and friendly and knew his stuff. He provided us with insight to the chinese culture along with the food and history of china town. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a good history of the chinese culture.

Loved Darryl. He really brought life to the tour. Loved the food and all the history. We would recommend this tour to everyone. Went on the Grenwich Village food tour last year. This year we went to the Palma Restaurant for dinner. One of the best restaurants we've been to. Five bus loads of women come up to NY for the weekend. (no men no children). We all go our separate ways and my group try's the food tours. Can't wait until next year. Thanks. Give Darryl a big thank you. We loved his tour.

Really enjoyed the tour, and especially Bert our tour guide. We have taken all of the NYC Food tours, and personally the China Town tour was my least favorite. Had nothing to do with our guide, he was great! I just personally don't care for chinese dumplings or peking duck (two of the main courses)....but that's just me. I would recommend any of the NYC Food Tours. Great cultural experiences and a great way to see more of the city and visit places I would never venture out on my own to do.

I really enjoyed the Chelsea Market Food Tasting Tour. It was a beautiful day and the food was excellent. Our Tour Guide was very entertaining and informative. I didn't expect to learn about the history of the Meat Packing District. I was pleasantly surprised with the tour. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

This was my first food tour...and I cant wait to go again. I will check this out every place I visit. Our tour was excellent...food was delicious..and Burt was so nice and so informative. We never felt rushed..and had nice am't of food for each tasting.I will recommend this tour to family & friends.

We have taken several other trips with Foods of NY and they have all been wonderful but this one with Bert was just delightful. He had many educational additions as well as helpful tips which were presented in a professional and humorous manner. The restaurants and areas we visited were located in parts of Chinatown that are not on the usual beaten path. Can't wait to go back to eat and visit the shops again.. We also happened to run into Bert in Greenwich Village the next day while we were browsing around and he gave us a few hints for that area as well. We will have to do that trip for the next visit!!

We absolutely love your food tasting tours. We have taken each and every one of them and wish there were more. Bert was our guide and we give him six stars. He was very informed, attentive and funny. It is truly one of the best values in NYC,

This tour is a great way to learn about the Chelsea area while indulging in food varieties from the local businesses. Diana was so knowledgeable, humorous and respectful to all. Simply put, a wonderful NYC experience. Next tour will be Greenwich Village!!!!

I received this tour as a present from my boss. In my opinion it was a very creative gift and very original. I went I the tour with one of my friends and we were apart of a group of sixteen. Our tour guide Diana was amazing ! She was full of information about each stop on the tour. Any questions we had she had the answers to. The food on the tour was just as delicious as I thought it would be, even when I heard we were having an ox tail sauce! Which I was intimidated by, but was fabulously delicious as was the sausage and sage puff , the Italian "quiche" , and the red velvet cupcake ! I would definitely do one of the tours again in a heartbeat !

We were instantly attracted to the charm of The Village! After our tour we went back twice that same weekend! We certainly ate our way through this quaint Italian section of NYC. The food was deeelicious! Try not to eat before you go. I would not want to take this tour in the rain. If I could make one change to the tour it would be to spend less time on Cornelia Street and more time exploring other streets. The tour was very thorough and I would definitely recommend it, however, once we reached the 2 1/2 hour mark I was ready to wrap it up.

My daughter and I went to New York for her 16th Birthday. Our guide Susan was wonderful and very helpful. A great way to get to know the city more intimately...and more amazing food that we could possible fit in our stomachs! Want to come back for more!! : )

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour which had been recommended by relatives. Heather was a wonderful guide and we learnt so much about Greenwich Village and and the history of many shops and businesses set up there. The tasting were a bonus and we hope to go back before heading home to Australia.

I highly recommend the Nolita walk and food tour with Annie. She was such a delight. She had a friendly , outgoing way with everyone. She taught us a lot about the neighborhood ..so very interesting. We sampled a lot of wonderful food along the way. We went to several restaurants that I wish we could have gone back to on our own. I would recommend that people take these tours at the beginning of their stay in order to have time to go back for dinner, etc. Annie gave us a fun and enjoyable day!

Annie was a great tour leader - enthusiastic and friendly, and provided a great mix of information about the area and the food tastings. The tour was at a leisurely pace with frequent stops for really good food tastings. The pizza at Emporio was one of the best I have ever had.
