The tour was great! The history of the West Village is fascinating and the tastings were delicious! Our guide was articulate, knowledgeable and refreshingly nice. We plan on taking another tour in the fall. We most certainly would recommend Food of New York tours. We had a wonderful time! |

First time in NY. Always heard about Greenwich village and wanted to visit. Food tour sounded like a good way to do it and we were not at all disappointed. Maria was a great and enthusiastic guide and provided so much history of the area along with the food (which was superb) that we were extremely sorry to reach the end of the tour. We returned the next day to enjoy more of Greenwich Village and felt like locals with all the knowledge that Maria imparted to us. Don't miss this tour if you have the opportunity to take it! you won't be disappointed. |

Our Central Village/Soho tour guide was knowledgeable and gregarious. She really gave us the cultural flavor of the Village both past and present. Our food tastings were fresh (in some cases, piping hot!) and ample. My husband and I were sated after the first 3 tastings and we had 5 more to go! My only reservation about not giving this tour 5 stars was that there wasn't enough walking to build up an appetite for the food. More walking is recommended. |

This is an amazing way to see, experience, and absorb the best of Greenwich Village. It is also a great way to enjoy lunch spread over 3 hours of leisurely strolling through one of NY's gems while hearing about the history of this "community". The food was unforgettable as were the sights. I loved hearing about the history of Greenwich Village - the stories of immigrants whose subsequent generations continue to run the same family-owned businesses. Marie, our tour guide, was fantastic. She was friendly, extremely interesting, and knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Very well done tour! I am thrilled to have experienced Greenwich Village for the first time doing this tour! Next time I am in NY, I will definitely sign up for another tour with your company! |

Great guide (Heather) I loved the food and my husband loved the history! We went back to try the Home Restaurant. Will want to take another in a different part of the city when we return to NYC. |

The Chelsea/Meatpacking tour was great. Our tour guide was wonderfully fun and knowledgeable and I really did feel like we got to experience something that's a bit secret and special. We sampled foods and talked about places that I never would have thought to go to on my own, which was refreshing. Know ahead of time that you don't have time to shop on the tour -- it really is crammed full of eating and entertainment, although you won't leave feeling stuffed. When you do go shopping afterwards, be sure to get one of the fany decorated cookies at Eleni's. I don't know how she does it, but they're fantastic and not at all hard like other iced cookies are.
On the day that I went we tried a mini red velvet cupcake, soup, a pot-pie-like item, chocolate milk, various Italian items and artisan bread, fruit spreads on lovely biscuits, an h'orderve of imported items, and fresh pasta. Just go -- you can't go wrong, especially for the value. I plan on trying different neighborhoods when I come back to the city. |

We enjoyed this tour so much. Thanks for a fun time! We learned a lot and enjoyed the tour stops, Anny our informative guide, and our other tour participants!
There were 16 people on our tour. Would prefer a bit smaller of a group, but I still highly recommend the tour! |
