was a lot of fun -- would certainly go again with in town visitors or EVEN BY MYSELF JUST TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE CITY -- would like to see you have more tours -- EXPAND! made those of us who are transplants feel a little more at home -- got to see things that only the locals probably know about... everyone we went with really had a good time and enjoyed the mix of food, history and NYC savy

I really enjoyed it (especially the Donar Kabobs). Beautiful weather, fun tour guide, nice location, and scrumptious food. I highly recommend this tour; however, you might want to pack some sunscreen during the summer :).

Individual from out of town looking to get a feel for new york neighborhood

The Chelsea tour was canceled. I was offered, and took the Greenwich Village tour instead. The guide was great. Very knowledgeage, and kept us mostly on track. It was more architeture and history and less food than I expected. The food servings were very small. I for one went away hungry.

I highly recommend this tour. The tour leader, Todd, was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly loves this neighborhood. We felt very welcomed by the restaurant and store owners/workers, as well as the residents. The food was fantastic, the amount of history, culture, and architecture explained just right. The take away guide is something I'll refer to often.

Our guide Todd was fantastic & caused us to fall in love with Greenwich Village & Manhattan. It was great to interact with the guide and just be in a small group. This was my third time of this tour. Two months ago I took it with my husband who said this tour made the entire trip and a year ago my mother and I took this tour with Eric. He was terrific too.

local touring with visitors

Last week I took the Greenwich Village food tour for the 4th time. In the past it's been lively, fun, and worth the money and time. This tour was draggy, boring, and an embarrassment to explain to my friends about how it's always been great before.

local of five years with parents in town

I thought the tour was great. I have lived in the city almost five years and discovered many new resturuants, bakeries, and shops in three hours than in the last few months. My parents, from out of town, enjoyed the historical apsect of the tour and of course, the sampling. My mother is a little out of shape and was tired toward the end of the tour. I didn't think there was to much walking, you are just on you feet for most of the time.

We really enjoyed learning about the history of the Chelsea Market as well as the meatpacking district. The food was excellent, and I look forward to sampling more of it when I return to NY for my next visit.

Cindy was excellent--enthusiastic, vigorous, kept the large (larger than we expected) moving. Full of interesting pertinent facts and interesting sidelights. We went back to enjoy drinks at one of the venues and later dinner at another before theater on 20th. Great day.

We loved the Chelsea Market/Meat Packing District tour. The other 4 in our group had been on your Village tour and enjoyed it so much that they were anxious to do this one. We definitely want to do your Village tour soon. We certainly enjoyed the introduction to new places to shop and the restaurants. Your handouts are excellent. Tasteling is always fun. We appreciated the other information that was included, architectutre, etc. We would recommend it to anyone interested in exploring ther City.

first visit to New York, honeymoon vacation

We felt the tour was very good. Our guide was quite knowledgeable of the history, and her experience and experiences lend an authenticity and genuine-ness to the tour. The falafels and the cheese/olives were unforgettable!! One reccommendation might be to stretch the walking section of the tour out in the first hour or so. It seemed to focus in the "Murray's" neighborhood for a bit too long, whereas utilizing the time to see more of the Village would be great!! We would reccommend the tour to all first-timers, for sure.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Foods of New York walking tour. The guide was very informative about the location and venues and, indeed, in the following days we returned several times to Greenwich Village to eat and walk and generally enjoy the place. We would certainly recommend this activity to other people who have an interest in food and the area.

Really enjoyed it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Would definitely recommend this fun tour to friends, and we can't wait to go back and try some of the other restaurants that were reviewed on our tour.
