Foods of New York Tours

My neice and I have been on 2 other Foods of Ny tours and Loved them. this was disappointing by comparison. It was not well paced. The bulk of the tastings were early on in the tour then there was almost an hour of factual info with no tastings. We have enjoyed the sit down tastings where you could order a drink and get to know others in the tour. There were 2 sit downs that we're quick, no time to get a drink and at one, there weren't enough seats. Our tour guide, Diana was very entertaining and the food was tasty, otherwise we may have left early. Also, there should be a warning that this tour has quite a lot of rated R content.

This was my 2nd tour with this company. I had such a great time on one of the Greenwich Village tours, That I wanted to do another one. I was not disappointed. Our tour guide, Bert (AKA Eric) struck just the right note: Funny, knowledgeable, relaxed, but not too relaxed. I loved the combo of info about the food and the history of the neighborhood we were in. Most of the folks in my group were return customers, and many were native New Yorkers. I think that says it all.

This tour was great! It was a great combo of food, culture and history. We very much liked the dim sum at the first spot and I thought the peking duck at the Pecking Duck House was the best I've ever had and can't wait to take my husband back with me! Where I really liked the first 2 stops/tastings I didn't really enjoy the last one. The eggplant dish was okay kinda of mushy and I really didn't like the rice as it was too fishy for my taste. Bert was a great tour guide! He was full of knowledge about the areas and great recommendations and he really got the group involved and kept us all entertained. I would love to take another food tour led by him. One thing I didn't really like was that prior to going on this tour I read on the website that there were 5 tastings 3 seated and 2 'on-the-go' and it mentioned something about eating a 'tiger roll'. We only ha 3 tastings so I was confused when the your ended at the 3rd place cause I thought there were more stops. It would have been nice to end the tour with something sweet. Although I did end up going to the Chinatown Ice Cream factory that Bert recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, the tour guide, and the food. What a wonderful, historic area. But, unfortunately, I am alergic to MSG and it was obviously included in one or more of the meals and I suffered a severe bout of migraine and vomitting for two days. I would still recommed this tour, but would caution the tour guide to alert the group about MSG being included in the meals.

We had Diana as our tour guide. Very knowledgable. We learned a lot about the areas history and the food was terrific. Highly recommend. Last year we did Greenwich tour. Happened to run into Kurt, guide from last year, at Chelsea Market .

I purchased this tour for my neice and great neice who were visiting from New Mexico...here for my great neice's 16th birthday. This is what my neice said, "The Chelsea tour was exceptional...much more than expected! I have to attibute 99% of the greatness of the experience to Diane...there is no tour guide better."

Our 5th trip to NYC and trying new things each time, but this tour and the Chelsea Market was the highlight of our weekend. Curt (tour guide) was GREAT!! Funny, knowledgeable about the area, and kept it so interesting. Didn't want it to end. We ended up staying at the market another 2 hours to try things he told us about. Highly recommend it to all ages. We had people in our group as young as 22 and other in there 60's and everyone had a great time.

Our tour guide Kurt was great and very knowledgeable! The 3 hours flew by...it was a blast!

LOVE LOVE LOVED the Chelsea Market food tour. Our tour guide Curt was absolutely amazing. And the food tastings were delish... I actually was full when the tour was over. Worth every cent! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

A great way to experience the food and character of the Central Village. Washington Park was a special treat.

We went on the Central Village/SoHo tour and had a great time! Our guide, Susan, was very knowledgeable and told some interesting and fun stories about the neighborhood and foods. The tastings were very nice - we went back to a few places afterwards. Can only recommned!

I bought this walking tour for my husband's birthday over a year ago, and was pleased that tickets do not expire so we waited for the nice weather to come around again. We live in New Jersey, and socially come into the city. My husband, who went to college in NYC and is a foodie, thought he knew everything about the hot spots. Well, we learned so much, had a great time, got great food, found a new coffee spot, and now we want to do all the walking tours. Our tour guide, Diana, was wonderful too!! She gave great insight into the areas of the city and added a lot of historical information to make it interesting.

My friends and I from Melbourne would highly recommend this tour. The diverse information was fantastic and Kerrianne was an enthusiastic, laid back and passionate guide. The food was also amazing.

The tour alone was worth the ticket price. All the delicious food was a bonus.

We loved our Village/SoHo tour. The samplings of local ethnic foods was awesome and so was our tour guide Raheem. I would definitely do another one!
