We had a great time on the Chelsea Market Tour. Our guide, Bob, was fabulous! Not only were the food samples delicious and filling, but we learned so many fascinating facts about the businesses and history of the Chelsea neighborhood. We all agreed the tour was the highlight of our trip. |

A must do excursion for anyone foodie visiting New York. Having read the reviews we decided to book this tour for our first morning in New York and it was a definite highlight of our trip. Barri, our tour guide, was brilliant. She was extremely knowledgeable and a fun guide. It gave us a chance to see and experience sights and foods that we may not have otherwise have found/tried.
I definitely recommend you do this tour early on in your visit to NY as you will want to go back and explore Greenwich further and have a chance to eat in some of the restaurants in the evenings where possible. Also you receive discounts for a variety of places in the village. As a direct result of the tour we had some fantastic meals in Greenwich and it was our favourite place to eat in the evenings. In some respects being introduced to Rocco's and their mouth watering deserts may not have been such a good thing (for our waistlines at least!) as we kept ending up in there late in the evening having latte and cake...
5 out of 5 for this tour. A top recommendation. |

Our tour guide, Heather, was great! My husband and I have been in the city numerous times and yet there are still lots to learn. We love the food and will definitely use the guide to try new restaurants at the village. Thanks again! |

Our group included my mother-in-law who is 81, my hubby, our daughter who is 30ish and myself (50ish). Everyone agreed it was a great way to learn more about NYC dining options while learning more about the city itself. Our guide, Diana, was polite, entertaining and thoughtful. A wonderful way to spend 3 hours in your wondrous city! |

Our son, 27, accompanied my husband and I on the tour. He enjoyed it as much as we did. In fact, we returned to Greenwich Village today ( just prior to flying home) in order to have lunch a Joe's Trattoria. The food was delicious though we were not given a warm welcome...
We also picked up some cheese from Murray's Cheese Shop to bring home for our son's girlfriend plus got some cookies from Amy's Bakery for our flight. So yes, we would recommend the tour to anyone who enjoys food and learning about the local culinary scene! |

First of all, I have to say that your tour guide is wonderful. He is the right combination of informative, funny and relaxed. It just made the time fly by and the tour an absolute blast. I brought my mother and sister for their birthdays on the recommendation of a friend and they were both very happy with their gift. My sister is already planning on bringing some friends of hers back to take the tour. I will definitely continue to pass the word along about your tour. |

Tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. We sampled lots and lots of foods. It felt like we made friends with the local merchants as well. This was my thrid time in 6 years. In April we are taking the Chelsea Market Tour. |

I would have enjoyed it more if it didn't seem like we were always in the way of the restaurants and (quite honestly) the tour guide. We were on a low traffic street and were told repeatedly to move out of the way, not by passersby but by our tour guide. The restaurants seemed burdened by our presence and no one seemed happy to accommodate us. (except for the bar where we were able to sit and have wine. The bartender was very nice and accommodating.)
I know the tour is about food, but do we really need to hear about every detail of a meal that was eaten at a restaurant that's not even a stop on our tour? It's boring. It could also EASILY be done in two hours. There was a lot of standing around, trying to fill time until we could go to the next stop. It was entirely too long.
We did like learning about all of the history in Greenwich Village. Once the talk about the landmark district started it picked up a little a bit, which is surprising because that's where we ate the least.
The food was pretty good, and it was a lot. Plenty for lunch. I think maybe the other tours might be better, like the chelsea market, because it's more out of the way. This was not the best time my family has had in the city. I think there are other tours that would be more informative and more fun. |
