Foods of New York Tours

We are a couple and we enjoyed our enthusiastic and knowledgable guide Diana. We enjoyed the historical information as much as the food. The pizza was okay, the cannoli, cookies, and involutini were very good, and the cheese at Murray.s was superb. The mac and cheese at Home was good, but hardly something i expected on this tour. the olive oil was superb. We felt rushed at Murray,s and hardly got to glance at the cheese counter. We were happy to hear that Foods of New York pays for the food. If we were staying nearby we would have returned to Rafaele, and to Murrays and probably the olive oil store.

We enjoyed our tour of the Chelsea Market and the samplings of food. The tour guide was very informed about the market and the surrounding area. He was excited about the tour and made it an extra fun experience. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys learning about an area and eating delicious food.

Teenage daughter and I took the tour on a Sunday. Plenty of food and good variety. Ted was our guide and had great stories on the food, shops, architecture, history and real estate market of the area. Not too much walking involved, more of a nice stroll. He pointed out restaurants and shops to visit. We were both full after the tour. I really feel like I will go back to the Village and confidently navigate around on my own.

Our guide Rahim brought a lot of enthusiasm and love of the area to the tour. I expected it to be mostly about food, but he also brought out a lot about the history of the area which we all really enjoyed. Wish we could have shopped, but I understand the time constraints. Having a bottle of water for each of us was very good. Suggestion: also hand out a small hand sanitizer to everyone.

Our tour guide was Darryl. He was extremely knowledgeable, very outgoing, and interactive with all of the group. It was an great experience that I would recommend to anyone who likes a variety of foods and enjoys knowing the history of an area. I will definitely take another of the food tours in a different area.

Great tour. Darrell was an excellent guide. Had plenty to eat during the tour. So many fun places and great food at every place we stopped. Can't wait for next NY adventure to go back to the market place and getting items from these vendors. The time flew bye. Would recommend this tour.

My husband and I had a great guide. He was very interesting and funny. The food we sampled was delicious and plentiful. Would definitely recommend the tour to family and friends.

Great tour guide, he was informative, funny and kept the tour moving at a great pace. The food was very good, I will definitely go back to several places on our tour. We are from NYC and our guests were from Pennsylvania and we each got a lot out of the tour. This is our third tour with your company and will be back for more.

Our guide, Marie, knew much about the area. She was at her best when describing the historical and architectural elements of the neighborhood. I was not impressed with all the people she knew nor when she was distracted by an acquaintance and left us standing there. The stops were interesting and tasty. At Rafele's I felt welcome. At the other places I felt we were inconveniencing them (cheese shop, bakeries). The gentlemen I spoke to over the phone (Todd and Ted) were extremely helpful. Because of them I would like to try other tours. The booklet is a wonderful resource.

My boyfriend and I were looking for things to do in New York while we were in town. The tour seemed like a good idea so we could get some good food while learning about the area. It was SOO much more awesome than we could have ever expected. Annie, our guide, was absolutely amazing. She treated us like old friends and was so knowledgeable about everything. My boyfriend and I got engaged the night before and I mentioned it to her and she made us feel ultra special and shared a toast with us and the rest of the group. We ate at places we would have surely walked by had it not been for the tour and ate delicious food we would have never ordered. We even went back to a restaurant later in our trip because the food was so good. We'll definitely do more tours when we make it back to New York.

Our entire group loved this tour, All the tastings were delicious, and I liked that there was a big variety. I loved learning the history of the area and each restaurant and chef individually. I would do this tour again!

This was a wonderful experience. I'm from NJ and it was the first time I've taken a tour in NYC. It was extremely interesting and the food tasting was delicious. In fact, I took my husband back a few days later to eat at one of the wonderful restaurants we discussed. Would recommend to everyone that likes history, tasting and walking!

Our Central Village / SoHo "event" was a definite highlight of our visit to NYC. Big credit goes to Raheem who expertly guided us around Greenwich Village and SoHo. Anyone can take you on a tour of places; It takes a Raheem to make it an experience. We chose this particular tour because of the variety it offered. It didn't disappoint. We enjoyed the samples of Italian, Cuban, and Indian. It was not only delicious but educational as well. Most of all we enjoyed the history and backstories that Raheem shared. I have a whole new appreciation for the Village and SoHo.

The Greenwich Village tour was fun and informative. We had a very nice and high energy tour guide.
