Foods of New York Tours

This tour shows you one of the many hidden treasures of New York City - Greenwich Village. From the wonderful eateries; secret gardens; and beautiful old architecture of Greenwich Village - it was an amazing experience. Bert was an awesome tour guide, the food was delicious, and I have fallen in love with New York City all over again.

The tour was fantastic. We loved the food tastings and our tour guide Bert was interesting, well-informed, . . . and did he know his food! Bert spiced up the foodie aspects of the tour with interesting factoids and anecdotes about Greenwich Village. Our only criticism: Centro Vinoteca is guilty of some misleading advertising. We were told that Mondays were half-price drink days, but when we went back on Monday for a drink (even after asking and having the half-price special confirmed) we were presented with a full price bill and told the discount applied only to full bottles of wine. On the plus side, we went back to the village for dinner at Palma, and the food and service were superb ! We heartily recommend the tour,especially if you are lucky enough to get Bert as a guide.

Our tour guide was great, the city was beautiful, the food was excellent and the company was fun.

Bert was an outstanding guide ~~ very knowledgeable and personable. We certainly enjoyed all the eating and all the facts about the area. This had been recommended by friends, and we will be recommending to others. Plus we plan to check out another one of your tours next year when we are in New York! GREAT tour!

We loved this event! The tour was informative, interactive, and interesting. Bob our tour guide was very knowledgeable, entertaining and organized. The food samples were awesome and we came back to the Chelsea market another day on our trip because we enjoyed it so much. We will definatley try another NYC food tour on our next visit.

My friends and I have spent one weekend away every year for the past 18 years. We are always looking for something new and different. This food tour was both. The guide was wonderful, the food was delicious, and the other people in our group were lovely. Overall, it was a great experience that I would highly recommend.

Great way to see this area of New York. All food samples were great and the information gleaned from the tour was interesting.

I took my father on a food tour of Greenwich Village for his birthday. He and I both had a blast. I live in New York, but I went to places I would never go normally. In addition to the amazing food we tasted, our tour guide gave us an extensive (but not boring!) cultural and historical background on the neighborhood. It was fascinating and interspersed throughout the tour, so we alternated between eating and learning. 3 jam packed hours of fun! Careyanne was our tour guide and she was so knowledgeable and friendly. Loved her and the tour! Great price and great fun.

A great experience with a first rate guide who engaged with us all, answered all our questions and impressed us with her professionalism, knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject.

This was a great way to spend an overcast Saturday afternoon. Much more than just tasting food, it was a culture walk as well.

I came in from Boston to visit some NY friends and we all thought the tour was great! Lots of great food and we got to learn a little more about the neighborhood. The food was so good, we even returned after the tour to do a little shopping at a few of the places where we had tastings. A number of the places where we did tastings were locations I don't think I would have visited or even known about otherwise. I would highly recommend this tour and plan to look for similar tours in other cities across the country in the future!

The tour guide was a wealth of local knowledge. Tour was perfect for seeing a part of New York that you could easily get lost in. Food was little and plenty and by the end felt sufficiently stuffed! Would definitley recommend.
