Annie set the mood for a wonderful afternoon eating our way through a number of diverse restaurants along the way informing us of some of the interesting history of the various streets and areas. A gentle, fun and informative day. Highly recommended. Don't hesitate to book - you won't regret it. Thanks Annie .....

We were a group of 7 adults in New York for our daughters wedding - 2 in their 50s and 5 in their 20s. Everyone really enjoyed the tour. I had been on the Meatpacking tour which was good but this one was much better. We got loads to eat and it' would be a good tour to do when you first arrive in New York. Hopefully we will visit some of the restaurants, shops etc the nest time we are in NYC.

Very Good Time on the Tour

I really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it and also take another tour my next visit. One thing I noticed when I was deciding which to take was the amount of seated tastings, and this tour says one, but there were other opportunities to sit along the way. I have a bad knee and was a little worried, but all went fine. Rahim (sp) was our guide and he did a great job.

Kurt our tour guide was knowledgeble, interesting and funny. He is from the area and was able to provide historical information on NYC, Greenwich village as well as the sites visited. All the food was great and filling. You will not be hungry after the tour. The kids who are a "hard sell' on tourist attractions all loved it too.

Great experience on Chelsea Market Food tour
Thu, Apr 18  11:00 AM pgordonpep Female 50-59 Local Couple on a Date
On our Honeymoon in NYC, a highlight was the Verve food tour starting at Chelsea Market. The knowledge, enthusiasm and friendliness of the tour guide made for a great experience. We discovered the shops at Chelsea Market and enjoyed the food tastings at the various eateries. The Highline was a beautiful way to see the neighborhood and we'll be back to see the gardens in full bloom ~ what a gift to visitors and New Yorkers! The last stop in the Meatpacking district was delicious, we enjoyed the restaurant and seeing this renovated & chic neighborhood. I plan to give a gift of a Food tour to friends and bring out of town guests for a fun NY experience.

This was my third Zerve tour in New York. They've all been memorable. The guide was knowledgeable, witty and added that bit extra to the tour and it's those little extra things that make the tour. Can't wait for my next trip!

Food travelling through history of New York .
Thu, Apr 18  10:00 AM KayLyon Female 60-69 International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
The tour leader was fun and enthusiastic and the group was not larger, about ten of us. We sampled various foods and looked in on some of the great restaurants of this town. One of the best things about this tour is that the information and stories were interwoven with the history of New York. I loved hearing of the characters and struggles involved with Chelsea Market; the man who bought the derelict market; the artist and individual shop owners who added their bit. But there was all the history of the Meat Packing district too, delivered by our well informed tour leader. As an Australian tourist I didn't get time to re check everything but will on my next visit.

Unfortunately we missed this tour last time we were in NYC through illness so we were determined to go on this trip! And boy was it worth the wait!!! The food, the history, the real estate knowledge and the comedy from our guide Cindy was all impecible! She knew every in and out of the city and every nuance of Greenwich Village. We can't wait to go back to explore further all the hidden gems that Greenwich holds! It's my NYC must do tour!

Cool way to spend 3 hours in NYC

We had a great guide and he made it all more attractive. Ask for Bert when you book the tour. We had a chance to visit those very small theaters and stages were many successful careers started, and these places are not listed everywhere. Lunch menu included pizza, meat ball, canoli, cheese, cookies and an interesting experience on tasting olive oil. Walking around the historic buildings made it easier to understand how New York became such a diverse environment.

Delightful and informative

The tour was a highlight of our trip to New York - the food was delicious and we bought olive oil from O & Co and other items from Murray's cheese shop. The best part was the information that we learned - Bert was very knowledgable. I particularly liked the building information - architecture, the hidden gems that he was able to let us view. We felt that we had an insight into Greenwich Village that most tourists may not be exposed to. All in all it was a delightful experience and one that we will repeat and tell our friends about. Brave, Pauline from Vancouver, Canada

Two friends and I went on the Greenwich Village Food tour as part of a short NYC vacation. The tour exceeded our expectations. Our guide Sephra was wonderful --enthusiastic, funny and informative. We were pleasantly surprised at the wonderful food and the welcome we received at several restaurants, stores and bakeries we visited. We learned the history of the neighborhood and about some of the well known inhabitants. We went back to Home Restaurant that evening and had a fabulous meal and the next day we stocked up on cheese, olives, and crackers from Murray's for lunch on the train ride home. I just wish we'd had a smaller, earlier breakfast the day of the tour.
