Foods of New York Tours

My daughter and I loved the hours we spent with Mike. He taught us so much that we will use on future visits, was delightfully informative, enthusiastic, knowledgable, and paid constant personal attention to the members of the group. I wish there had been more opportuniities to sit down occasionally, but maybe that is because I am older than the average participant. I would now like to take the Chelsea tour.

Cindy provided adequate detail about the area, businesses and history. The selection of tastings was great and just enough. I would've preferred one more tasting outside the market to know about the restaurants in the area.

The route was very active and funny ...and Kurt , our guide made his job with a lot of enthusiam and with lots of interesting information about the history of Chelsea market, the change of Meatpacking district and everytyhing in general ... a very nice way of visiting one of the coolest areas of NYC. This is a really great way to spend a day in New York without the hustle and bustle of the New York crowds. We all really enjoyed the tour and especially the tour guide Diana. Will do another one.

Our tour guide was simply amazing. We learned so much about the food, traditions and history of NYC Chinatown. We were a mixture of adults, a teen, family and friends - I'd recommend this tour for anyone teenage and above.

A food tour during lunch time was a great way to discover a neighborhood. We did this the last day of our stay, but wished that we'd done it earlier. Than we would have had time for some more food tours in other neighborhoods as well. Great way to get interesting information, experience a city and try some great flavours. Wanted to come back to several places but didn't have the time. Great guide. Over all a great experience!

very informative about the village and the food was great . serving size was very good. Our tour guide was Barri and she did an excellent job. We loved the mac and cheese from Home Resturant and the chocolate pudding was excellent. Cookies from milk and cookies excellent also. Murrays and roccos at the top also. I loved the food tour! The combination of eating yummy food, learning historical tidbits about Greenwich Village and exploring restaurants that are off the beaten track was wonderful. Our guide was well informed and enthusiastic. It was obvious that she was well known and loved in the neighborhood. My husband and I ate at a different restaurant from the tour each night for the rest of our trip. I've already recommended the tour to friends who were headed to NYC. I wish there was something like this in all big cities.

This was one of the highlights of our trip and there were a great number of those. The Chelsea Market is probably not somewhere we would have managed to visit, and this would have been a disappointment, it is a fantastic place, and the food on the tour is diverese and very tasty. Bob the guide is very knowledgeable, and makes the tour very interesting and amusing. I would recommend this to anyone who likes food, wants to know more about NYC other than the main tourist attractions and enjoys walking.

We enjoyed the tour, especially the architectural and historical details. Sometimes almost too much information about places we only passed by.

I would strongly recommend going one of these tours! Everything from the food, the group & especially the tour guide Cindy Keiter were EXCELLENT. Cindy was extremely knowledgable, friendly & quite humorous!! We'd definitely want to do another tour soon!

The company was very cooperative in changing the date for us. The guide was truly excellent, the food was plentiful and delicious and the information about the area was most interesting....(even to a New Yorker).

This tour was one of the highlights of our 4 day stay in New York City. Our guide, Diana, was so knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, and entertaining - she was terrific. She kept us focused and on schedule but in a funny polite way. can't wait to really spend some time here and shop on our next trip back. We will definitely take advantage of your other tours also.
