Foods of New York Tours

My daughter and I came to NYC to ring in the New Year. We had been to NYC a couple of years before and had gone on the Greenwich Village tour so we decided we would like to do another one. We picked the SoHo tour and had a really good time. Our tour guide, Raheem, was great! He knew so much about the neighborhood and gave some great details. We even twirled to the piano playing in Washington Square! All of the places where we sampled food were delicious. We were a little hesitant about some of the stops, but everything was really good...except the Yucca....sorry Raheem! We especially loved the Indian food! The best part of the whole experience was when we went to Joe's Dairy. Raheem had told us the story about how Joe had trained a boy named Anthony from a young age to make the mozzarella and then eventually sold Anthony the business. While we were sampling the homemade mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes, Anthony's dad came out and asked how everything was. It was really interesting to talk with him about the store and how everyone keeps trying to get the tomato recipe from him. He said he's been asked for twenty years for that recipe and he always tells everyone "FUHGEDDABOUDIT!" which received a huge roar of laughter from the group. We have been on two tours now and they both were great! I highly recommend that anyone who wants to know a little about NYC, meet some interesting people and places, and taste some delicious food to sign up for the tour. We know we will next time we are in NYC!

Our guide was fantastic. The food was great and the sites we saw were awesome. We brought friends to Greenwich Village the next day and gave them an overview of the area, took them to shops that we stopped in and ate pizza at a local place that our guide recommended.

We had a FANTASTIC tour! Our guide Rahim was very knowledgable about the city and the culture of the area (Greenwich & SoHo). He was interesting to listen to and had some great suggestions. He could also read the group really well! This is my 2nd NYC food tour with this company and I was NOT disappointed. We brought 5 our friends and they were impressed too! It is too bad the rest of our group could not make it, but as it turned out the extra good eats did not go to waste! Thanks Rahim for making our trip to NYC memorable! All the best to you.

The food was plentiful and delicious. We loved learning about the neighborhood, its rich history and pop culture. The eateries and shops were wonderful. We returned home with products in hand a new ways to pair them to enhance flavors. We will definitely return to some of the places when we are in NYC again, and we have already recommended the tour to friends!!!

Our guide was terrific; he was worth the price of the ticket alone. We were surprised to learn so much history about the District on this tour. The range of diversity in the restaurants and bakeries was good and it provided us with a game plan for when we visit again. All if the employees in the establishments we visited were friendly and helpful. Again, our guide was very entertaining, but also very knowledgeable. A fun and affordable way to see the Meatpacking District.

As a Christmas gift we gave the Chelsea Market tour to ourselves and our family. We had multi-generations and this was a wonderful way to spend the day together. Highly recommend.

This was a great tour especially for the colder weather. Lots of history. My favorite tour is the Grenwich Village but this was a nice second choice.

the guide was terrific gave alot of history, good humor, and wonderful took the tour on Wed Dec 28th and forgot his name but he is dark haired and it was around 1:00. The best fun thank you.....

I live in NJ and had family in for the holiday, and was looking for a way to tour NYC in an interesting way that appealed to the entire family. This tour was perfect! We had an excellent guide (Bert) who knew everything about the area, about food......was very conscientious about the group and our needs (i.e. no rushing!) We had people stopping us along the way asking what tour we were on, and could I provide them with the contact information - - so clearly it looked appealing even to those who weren't with us that day. This is so worth the money and the time. Do not miss this one!

Highly Recommend this tour. Food is excellent. Tour guide Rahim is very knowledgable and makes the tour worth every penny and more. History of the are as well.

Our guide (Raheem?) was incredibly knowledgable, enthusiastic, and just great. Not only the food itself was great, the historical background on the Village was really outstanding. Would highly reccommend this to anyone! All in the party from mother-in-law to kids loved it.

Barri was a very enthusiestic guide---had such at great tine we went back on THUR afternoon & had lunch at The Home==food EXCELLANT-- one of best burgers I have ever had
