Enjoyed the varied tastes, flavours & venues. Made more interesting by the enthusiastic guide, and the friendly personalities in the group. We will try another on our next visit. |

Totally enjoyable. Guide was professional, personable, entertaining and very knowledgeable. It was fun hearing all the history of the area and the food we were
able to sample was fantastic. We've already recommended it to every one we talked to about it. Thanks for the experience. |

Being alone for the day in NYC, I decided a group food tour would answer my needs to eat and company. I was so right! A nice group met at the cheese shop and wandered around a five block area, listening to our knowledgeable and animated tour leader tell us the history of neighborhood and individual restaurants and food stores. All was punctuated with 8 or so samplings of a variety of food specialties -- all excellent. Next day on my bike ride the length of Manhattan, I found my way back to Bleeker Street for an ice cream at one of the other businesses we didn't get to try during the tour. Now, I'll always know where to go for great food in NYC. |

Enjoyed the guide and the tour. I would like a little more in the way of historical information. Also, although it is implied that lunch will not be "necessary" due to the amount of food tasted during the tour, that is not altogether accurate. I certainly did not look for a full course meal, but by the same token, the bare minimum given in a couple of places emphasized more (although cleverly combined), that this was also an advertising tour, and diminished somewhat the appearance of it being an historical one, and left us looking for a place to eat when the tour was done. As a matter of convenience, I would also like the tour to finish where it began, since many participants were very interested in purchasing some of the items that the merchants were selling, and it was necessary to walk back to the market upon completion of the tour. Although the dialog and descriptions of things is somewhat "scripted," all of the guides should have the same information to share first, and then any embellishments and humor that they add is welcome. My criticism is merely constructive, since I enjoyed the tour and the company. Thanks for a nice day with my adult children who also enjoyed the "birthday gift tour." |

My husband and I found the tour to be great fun. We really enjoyed the food and the tour guide's explanation of Japanese tradition was very informative. We would definitely recommend the tour to others. |

If you have a chance to visit Chelsea Market, please do, but you could do it on your own. I believe each group takes a chance with its guide, and ours was too intense. She kind of "pushed us around" instead of giving us a relaxing 3 hour history lesson as our guide did last season when we did the Greenwich Village and SoHo tour. The guide makes or breaks it as far as I'm concerned.
All the shops in the market could be seen independently. Most give tastings anyway, so you wouldn't be missing out on the food.
We spent 2 hrs. in the market which was overkill. Once we got outside it was more interesting, but again we were micromanaged by our guide. The two stops out of the market were interesting and the food at Macelleria (?) was very good. They even gave us water and let us sit down with our food. Our group liked it so much we went back for supper.
The Chelsea Mkt. tour should include 1 hr. max in the market, traveling at a more leisurely pace, and then more on the streets of NYC which is not as easy to do on your own. |

Our Tour guide made the tour, he was so knowledgeable and gave so much history of the area, buildings and people who lived there. I think I would have liked more tastings as I have had on other tours with you.
But it was a wonderful experience and I would want the same guide again |

We were a family group...no small children...but parents and adults and spouses.
All had a very good experience. The food was great...the background info on the neighborhood was informative...our tour guide was very good...and those who hosted us in their establishments were gracious and kind. We would highly reccommend this tour to others...and already have! |

My adult daughters and I greatly enjoyed the food and all the interesting "tidbits" of information that our tour guides, Barri and Sephra provided. The pizza was so delicious that it will be hard to go out for pizza now that we are home! We would definitely sign up to do one of the other tours based on our experience during this one. |

The food tastes and history of Greenwich Village were delicious and well done by our host tour guide, Dave. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent on this food tour. Big eaters may want to satisfy their appetites prior to the tour. Remember, it is just a taste. Those that like the taste and wanted more were able to make a purchase to satisfy their hunger. |

I came to NY to spend my milestone b-day with my best friend of 40 years. Since I visit the big apple often, we thought we'd almost run out of fun things to do. A friend in Chicago recommended your tour. THANK YOU for a fun, fun experience. Food was yummy. Learned facts about landmark restaurants, food oils, pizza yadda yadda that I never knew before, saw landmark buildings in the village that I never knew existed and ... the knowledge and enthusiasm of our guide, Heather, just enhanced it all. And ... I am fascinated with my newfound knowledge of the reasoning behind the green, brown and black street signs. I have already begun referring your tour to others. Thanks, again. |
