Foods of New York Tours

I did a food tour in Savannah and Charlestona and found this one for New York. We absoultely loved the tour and the food provided by the various restaurants. Our tour guide was great and her history of Greenwich Village was interesting. When I come back to New York I plan on taking the other tours offered. Fabulous!

The leader Bert was amazing--very knowlegeable and funny! The food was awesome, lots of interesting trivia, loved the stuff about the architecture and buildings we were looking at and even had a celebrity sighting on our tour! Would definitely recommend, already plan on doing some of the other tours offered and we've told our friends about it! They were very accommodating (I'm a vegetarian) and everything on the tour was timed perfectly--not too long, not too short--just right amount of time to get it all in! They thought about bathroom breaks, every detail was well planned out. Took my husband who is a foodie for his birthday and he LOVED it!

I knew we would love the food, but the history about the area was so interesting. It really made the tour. Our guide was very well informed and witty.

I have done the Meat packing tour and loved it! This one was incredible too! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and did an amazing job showing us the area and explaining the history and current information. I would highly recommend this tour!

We had a wonderful tour guide, Rahim, who was informative and entertaining throughout our tour. The food was varied and delicious. I would recommend this to native New Yorkers and tourists alike.

The Chelsea market portion was great. A wine tasting at the Wine Vault would have been nice. The Lobster Place soup was no good at all however (terrible actually). The tour guide did take the first round back and attempt a second round, but it was no better. We were then toured through Morimoto, but with no tasting; disappointing. Then toured Del Posto, but again, no tasting; disappointing yet again. I would certainly have paid more for this tour if tastings at these 2 restaurants were included. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgable. The Greenwich village tour is MUCH better, so if you can only do one...

This tour met and exceeded all our expectations. The food tastings were delicious and all the information imparted by our guide, Marie, was very interesting. We loved everything about this tour and would highly recommend it to all.

The tour was informative and gave us a variety of foods to taste as well as a brief history of each stop we visited in the area.

The Chelsea Market tour is a great addition to any NYC trip. We wish we had set aside more time to be in Chelsea after learning so much about the area. Our tour guide, Cindy, did a fantastic job including everyone in the tour. There were a variey of ages and interests and we all had a great time. We were there on a weekend, so the market was crowded, but Cindy navigated our group through the market with ease. The tastings were great! We enjoyed getting a chance to sample items from vendors that we might not have tried on our own. Without the tour, we would not have found the highliner, and we are already be talking of staying in the meakpacking district on our next trip to NYC. I have come home and recommended the tour to all of my colleagues and family members.

Entertaining and delicious! My teen daughter and I enjoyed every minute and every bite-- what a great way to learn about a smaller community within NYC that we might not otherwise have explored. Our guide was fun and spirited... this tour is worth every penny!
