I had a great time! I learned a lot about about the history of the market as well as the surrounding area. The food was awesome, and I liked that we did all the food stops first, then walked around the neighborhood. Our tour guide Bob was very personable, and did a great job. He provided a lot of information, answered everyone's questions, and even went a half hour longer than advertised! A great way to spend an afternoon in New York. |

We did foodsofny's other Greenwich Village tour in March and decided to get a hotel in Greenwich just because of that... This tour didn't disappoint. Greenwich isn't that big but the other tour and this one don't cross paths at all. We'll need to visit Greenwich for several weeks just to exhaust the list of amazing restaurants they gave us.
The tour guides are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The food is great. And it's enough to be lunch... definitely show up with an empty stomach.
The best part is the little booklet they give you for later. You can focus on what the guide is saying and know that you'll have all the addresses/details of the restaurants he mentions (and you taste).
After both tours we booked dinner at one of the restaurants on the tour (after a few hours in a pub to give our stomachs a break). I'd recommend doing the same. |

The tour started exactly on time and lasted about 3 hours. There was very little standing around and everything moved smoothly. The tour guide (Barri) was extremely knowledgeable and personable. I learned a lot about the history of the area, the architecture and the food. All food tastings were interesting and tasty. There was plenty to eat and no one was interested in having lunch afterwards. My wife and I were delighted with the tour and want to go on the tours of Chinatown and the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking. Well worth the price of $42/person. If you are in New York - take one of these tours, you won't be disappointed. |

Excellent tour. Enjoyed the food, the company, the information and the wit and fun of Cindy, our guide. If you are looking for something a little different I would thoroughly recommend this tour. We took the option based on a friends recommendation and we were not disappointed. It was an excellent way to enjoy a damp and cold day in the Village. |

A fabulous tour of a fascinating area of NY through which we were taken by an enthusiastic and charismatic guide. The tour included many food pit stops at a range of unusual and interesting shops, where we sampled different types of Pizza ( John's pizza is to die for!!) cheeses, breads, deserts, chocolate and cookies like you have never ever tasted!
The tour also included a history of many of the buildings and the area and was enjoyed equally by our 14 and 17 year old son and daughter.
If you go to NY don't miss this tour. Very highly recommended. |

This is probably one of the best deals in New York. Our guide was excellent, she had lots of interesting facts and was able to answer all of our questons. The food was great and the whole experience was top notch.
If all of the other guides are as good as she was then all the tours must be great. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. I look forward to taking other tours on my next trip. |

Our guide, Curt Upton, was so warm and inviting. Not only was he very
knowledgeable about the Greenwich Village area, he shared that knowledge with our group in a way that was entertaining, informative and relaxing. My group was astonished at the wide variety of foods and the "behind the scene" shop areas that we were privy to. We felt as if we had finally seen the "real" NY.
I highly recommend the "Food and Cultural" tour (in any area) as a way to get to know the city, beyond the usual tourist attractions. The tour is definitely worth the time and money. |

Thought he provided too much information. Would rather he told less and made it simpler. He also didn't give anybody at the table a chance to talk to each other. Felt more like a lecture. |

This was the first "tour" I have done since visting NYC each year for many years. It was great fun and informative. Our guide Cindy was awesome. She was very personable and provided lots of great information on history and local spots of interest. The food and shops we visted were terrific. I would highly recommend this activity to anyone. |

Everything was nice about the tour. Our only complaint was that the tour guide himself, while extremely knowledgable about the history and funfacts of the area, had a very soft voice that did not carry. We had a group of 14 people and his voice just did not project
enough for everyone to hear. |
