Foods of New York Tours

This was my second time for the tour. I experienced it for the 1st time 2 years ago with my mom and sisters. We enjoyed it so much that when my husband and kids had the opportinity to go to New York I wanted them to experience it also. Our tour guides both times were very friendly, personable and knowledgable about the Greenwich Village neighborhood. They took us to places that you wouldn't have paid attention to if you were on your own exploring. The little out of the way shops and restaurants were great, not to mention the fabulous food we got to sample along the way. I highly recomend this tour.

Its was very fun and interesting, not only about the different foods but as well as the history of Greenwich Village.

I thought the activity was really good overall. It started a little slow, but this laid the ground work for the area and the rest of the tour. After the slow beginning the tour picked up and was excellent. The guide is extremely knowledgeable and a very good speaker.

Loved it. Mike was fabulous. Strongly recommend the tour.

It was a terrific treat to hear a local telling us what he knew about the area. I had been downto the West Village many times before and I didn't realize a 1/4 of what was there in that small area. History, great food and entertainment. Well worth the trip and the time spent in the streets.

We all absolutely loved the tour. It was informative, funny, interesting and all the food was just amazing. Our guide was incredibly knowlegable about the Chelsea/West Village district and I felt like we gained insights that we could not have picked up from books or independent exploration. We will definitely try the Greenwich Village food tour on our next trip. We did several walking tours during our trip and this was without a doubt the best by a long shot. Even for those who think that walking tours are not for them, I would encourage them to give this tour a try.

Although I have been into New York City many many times, this tour showed me places in I had never seen. Not only was the food delicious, but the intermingling of the history of Greenwich Village with a tour of area restaurants gave me a new appreciation for the Village and all it had to offer.

It was a great tour. A good mix of history, cultural, food and present day information. An interesting perspective on a neighborhood in the city. On my next visit I plan to visit places/restuarants that I learned about on this tour.

Although we expected the tour to take place through out the streets, the tour was very informative and entertaining and we learned a lot of New York City history. We enjoyed seeing the change in the type of business coming to the area. The food was excellent. We highly recommendi it!

We absolutely loved it! Serita was the perfect Tour guide. We come to the City every year to attend shows and dine out and decided to try something different this year with your tour. It was so informative and interesting. If you have one for another area, we will sign up for next year!!

All aspects of the tour were brilliant. The guide was very informative and amusing about the history of the area. The food was gorgeous, that aspect of the tour was educational too. I did a several tours while I was in New York visiting from Ireland, I felt it was the most enjoyable and informative tour. I would definately recommend it to any future visitors. Enjoy! and go on the tour hungry!.

Outstanding! First of all, kudos to Foods of NY for their integrity, with NYC empty during the RNC we were the only two customers and the tour was not canceled - we benefited from a private tour. The lead guide Todd was a lively and enthusiastic walking encyclopedia on the history of the building complex, the area and of course about foods; his understudy Kurt would have been impressive by himself. At every eatery we visited the staff beamed as we arrived, clearly the guides are well liked and as customers we enjoyed the extra attention. Our other tour with Cindy in Greenich Village was also great. By contrast, for Sunday we had also booked an eating tour with Big Onion Tours in the Lower East Side. As a crowd gathered at the meeting place I inquired about the size of the group; they do 35 customers per guide and consume part of the tour time collecting payment from that many people. Needless to say, we walked away.

The foods of N.Y.Greenwich Village Tour, gave us an inside look at the sights and history of Greenwich Village. The speak easy and food tasting made it a memorable tour. I've traveled all over the world with many tour guides, but your guide { Michael ] was one of the best. I will be recommending this tour to all my friends. My son in law is thinking of making this tour part of his next N.Y. Trade show.

This was a remarkably interesting tour. Our guide was informative, the food was delicious, and the entire experience delightful.
