Great variety

This was a great tour. Even my NJ aunts didn't know that much about Greenwich Village. Good variety of foods and plenty to eat. Would not recommend for children under 13 or 14, though. My child was bored.

One of THE BEST!!

There were 4 of us on the tour, we are all well traveled......and we all agreed that this was one of the BEST excursions we had ever taken. We had plenty of opportunity to sit and rest, so don't be concerned about getting too tired. There was a 90 year old on the tour and she did just fine. Don't miss it!! Our only regret.....we didn't go the first day of our trip so we could go back and dine at some of the restaurants.

Chelsea Marketplace is an awesome place for a foodie. However, the tour would have been even more interesting if we could have visited more places outside of the marketplace and sampled foods from some of the establishments in the neighborhood.

Cindy, our tour guide, was so enthusiastic and we loved her! She was so educated about the stories and owners of each business we visited. The history she gave us of not only the old Nabisco building that is now Chelsea Market but also of the Meatpacking District itself was wonderful. Thank you for a very memorable and filling 3 hours in NYC!!! Make sure you go hungry....there is a LOT of food, way more than we expected!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our three hour tour in Greenwich Village. Our Guide Heather was a fountain of knowledge with all sorts of information and data of not only the varied food shops and restaurants but also of the neighbourhood. The food was plentifull and very good quality. The best trip we have been on this holiday. Would strongly recommend it. A must do trip! Tom & Phamie Smith from Scotland.

Excellent way to experience an area of NYC

I had some time to kill and a friend of mine recommended that I do a food tour. Not only did I absolutely enjoy my time on the tour, but it turned out to be a highlight of my trip. Our guide was not only knowledgable, but also very entertaining. The food was delicious! If you are interested in learning about how food inspired a certain area of the city and also getting a taste of the local cuisine, I would highly recommend doing a food tour. What I liked about Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District is that it was mostly inside and then when we were outside, it wasn't that far of a walk. I also loved that Food Network is headquartered here, and we got to see a Food Network star. Overall, I give it a 10!

Big highlight of trip to NYC

This is a fan.tas.tic tour to do in NYC! My sister, my cousin and myself were really looking forward to this on tues 1st nov, but, never having done a food tour before, weren't sure what to expect...well... It was *such* a highlight for us with the delicious Sefra leading the culinary way, that we had to play it down to the rest of our group later so as not to make them jealous! Sefra was both informative and hilarious to us wee Irish girls, and the food was exquisite... Especially the cookies at "milk and cookies", and I had to go back to the hotel to get my "fat" trousers!! Do this tour!!

Highly Informative

Even though we were rained on for much of the tour, it won't be the rain I remember but rather the useful informaiton on what the restaurants on Bleecker street serve and other information about them. The tour provided a great overview of the highlighted restaurants and we went back that evening for dinner at one of them! (Rissoritto). Our guide was friendly and responsive. I' recommend Marie as a guide.

I highly recommend this tour, the food is DELICIOUS and it's all within 4-5 blocks. From cheese to pastries, you will NOT go home hugry! And you will definitely learn something.
