This was my birthday treat for my husband!
We were very happy with the service of our guide- he was fun and warm and entertaining. He guided us through the Village with witty stories and interesting facts . It was fun walking through the small resturants, too bad there wasn't any samples there. The food samples from the specialty shops were very delicious! We were stuffed. (tip: don't overstuff yourself on the first Pizza stop!)
I always find that being in the place where history was made and being made aware of it gives one great insights into why things are the way they are. throw in the food aspect and you've got yourself one heck of a great tour!
The village is a facinating area and we were very happy with my special gift !

Curt (our intrepid guidemeister) was friendly, civilized, extremely knowledgeable about food and local architecture but, more than anything, VERY enthusiastic about the neighborhood, the eats, the shops. The food we tasted was wonderful, we wanted to go back to the village and eat more of everything. Just a wonderful introduction to the neighborhood and a thoroughly great time led by a very amusing but very gentlemanly, upbeat, articulate guide. |

The tour provided a lot of interesting information on the area and plenty of really good food. We enjoyed all of the tastings and finished the tour feeling full of really yummy food! |

Highly recommended tour due to the personality and vast knowledge of tour guide. Having the business owners visit with the tour group was a nice touch.
Tour guide might not want to make assumption that everyone is from out-of-town. I didn't not enjoy the tasting consisting of deep-fried mushrooms as much. |

Cindy was as enthusiastic & as knowledgable as one can imagine. The tour provided a fun, interesting, and deliciously intimate view of the Village. My friend from Paris and I both loved every minute. |

My college age daughter and I went on this tour along with a couple of friends.
What a great way to spend a few hours with family and friends. The food was good, the tour of the village was outstanding and the places we visited were all very friendly and hospitable. We will definitely go back to several of them for lunch or dinner.
At the end of it all we could not believe how much we had actually eaten over the few hours we were walking.
Thank you for a great tour experience. |

The tour was well organized, our tour guide was knowledgeable and organized. The food we tasted was very good. I would go back to the area for some of the foods on future trips. |

Our guide, Kurt, led us on an educational, sensory-delighting, entertaining insider's view of the Chelsea Market and surrounding area.
We highly recommend the tour! |

I took the Chelsea Market tour with my daughter-in-law and we both really enjoyed it. The food sampling was great and filling. No need for lunch although we did return to the market for some take home items of the food we sampled. Curt (with a C), our guide, was knowledgeable as well as entertaining! We learned some fun and fascinating history of the area on our walking portion of the tour as well as some great ideas for dining. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting NYC. I am coming back in the summer and will defiantly do another food tour....a great way to get a "taste" of the city! |

Our group of four had a very enjoyable time on the food tour. We enjoyed all of the food selections and learning about the history and culture of Greenwich Village. We highly recommend this tour. We plan on returning and participating in one of the other tours offered. |

We took the tour on one of the coldest days of the year (something like minus 8 - without allowing for the wind-chill factor), yet still had a great time.
The food-tasting element is more low-key than expected (a couple of bits of pizza, a rice ball, an Italian pastry and some cheese) but the informative, enthusiastic and entertaining style of our guide (Michael) - covering architecture, history and local anecdote as well as food - made it a tour to remember.
We were a group of four from London and while we sometimes shivered in the biting New York temperatures (making London seem almost balmy by comparison), this was a highlight of our trip.
Well worth sampling - but try to pick a warm day!

This tour was absolutely fabulous! My family and I were captivated the entire time by both the history of the area as presented by our guide and the food as prepared by the vendors. Being from New York it is so interesting to learn the stories of the neighborhoods of the city that everyone has heard of, but few really know. As an added note, our guide Kurt was hilarious and entertaining every step of the way...he is one of the funniest people on the planet. |

Kurt was our tour guide and he was enthusiastic and interesting. We took this tour to familiarize ourselves with the West Village area but we enjoyed it more than we could ever have guessed. The food was good and I particularly enjoyed the comments about the architecture and history. We enjoyed it so much that we related our experience to our dinner companions and they all want to take the tour now. The most important thing to me is that, now, when I return to the W. Village, I will feel like I know where I am going and what I am doing. Thanks for a great tour! |
