The guide was great! Susan was her name. She knew the area regarding the history and the food samples were just right. A very enjoyable afternoon for a mother and daughter seeing the sites in New York.

If this is not ones first time to be in NY and one has covered all the tourists sites, this tour is a great way to learn more about the NY's featured neighborhood and the gems that it offers.

First thing to tell people is that you will be eating a bunch of food so come hungry. The tour starts at the Chelsea Market which has a few yummy bakeries and the Lobster Place which is a great seafood place. So you get some baked goods and Lobster Bisque. A nice combination. The only negative point of Chelsea Market is that there are not enough restrooms , There is a bunch of walking involved in this tour but the pace is nice, We also took a walk ti Hgh Line park which I did not even know existed. Great use of of land. Nice view of the Statue of Liberty in the distance. Our tour guy Curt really was the highlight of the tour . He is energentic , smart and funny as hell. The Chelsea area is a little gem using this tour helps a bunch. So in short come to the tour hungry and leave happy.

The only negative of the experience was that the food samples, while being delicious' were small and to be eaten on the street. The twice we sat down even briefly were much more "civilised"

I was surprised by the wide variety of food experiences, by the depth of the food and architectural information given, by the ease and fluidity of the tour. The three hours were packed with enrichment, culinary and otherwise.

Our guide, Heather, was full of enthusiasm and cheerfulness. She gave out interesting information...the food stops were good, except for the 2nd pizza place which was so-so.

Although Foods of New York wasn't responsible, the weather couldn't have been better. A beautiful afternoon and our tour host, Heather, was such a delight. She was informative, energetic and fun. The foods sampled painted a good picture of the neighborhood. This is my second experience with Foods of New York and I'm looking forward to another tour.

Had a great time on the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable of the area, had an outgoing, friendly personality and had a lot of fun facts. There was more food to taste than I expected, which was a good thing. You certainly were not hungry by the end of the tour. The only thing that was a little awkward, at times, was trying to eat some of the samplings while standing on the sidewalk with no place to set anything down. There were at least two of the establishments that allowed space for sitting while tasting. Murray's was particularly awkward, standing in the back of the store. This was my second trip. The first time when we got to Murray's, we were allowed to sit upstairs at the tables and enjoy the cheeses, etc., which was much more comfortable. They were very accommodating to persons with food allergies, which was great. I would recommend the tour to friends and family who were going to New York.

Had a wonderful time...our guide was Barri and she was GREAT. Learned a lot about the Village and ate our way through some super places...going back again and spending a couple of days in the Village just because of the can have all the people and hustle in Times Square...I'll take the Village any time!

My husband and I were on our first visit to New York and a work colleague recommended participating on a food tour. We choose the Greenwich village tour, our guide was Diana. Diana was brilliant, very knowledgable and excellent fun. The 3 hours flew by. If we ever vist New York again we will definately book another food tour. We cannot rate it enough!
