Great guides with lots of interesting historical and cultural information. The foods offered are very tasty and representative of high quality Chinese foods unlike what most of us are accustomed to. Being in this part of Manhattan feels like being in Asia. You'll visit extremely interesting produce,tea,herbal-type shops with lots of' samples along the way. This experience will become a highlight of your Manhattan visit.

Food Tour Delight

The food tour was in a word: awesome. The guide (Curt) was knowledgable, enthusiastic, personable, and fun. You can tell he loves his job! The many places we visited were all fabulous. The variety of food was tremendous, as well as delicious. The guides knowledge of not only the food, but the neighbourhood was really appreciated. He told many interesting stories concerning the history and the people of the Village, that really expanded the tour. My suggestion to all visitors is to go on a food tour in every city they vacation in. We will certainly do another food tour on our next trip to NYC.

The tour guide provided us the right amount of information, with a good balance among food, pop culture and History. Tastings left me more than satisfied in terms of both quantity and quality. I came back by myself the next day to the same area and felt as if I had lived there for a few weeks.

Tour was informative, fun and full of food. The tour guide, Curt, was fab. Would suggest take the tour as early as possible in your trip as you'll want to go back and revisit the food establishments! This tour is highly recommended!

Excellent tour guide , lots of history and passion for new York , not so enthusiastically received by business proprietors . Learnt a lot about New York , little about food . Must be a very difficult one to please all . Most of the food stuff you get from the food channel or shows . Over all worthwhile .

3 hours of relaxed enjoyable fun with great tastings. Tour guide had fantastic knowledge of the market and its environment. History of Chelsea Market from when it initiated the ups and downs and where it is today. My wife and I have nothing but raves.

Our tour guide was knowledgeable and gracious. I forget his name. He has red hair and comes from Canada. He was funny, smart and entertaining.

A great experience. Learned a lot of history and certainly enjoyed all the food most especially the Manhattan clam chowder at The Lobster Place. We started off with a big cupcake and we both feel that the smaller one would be better.

I joined up on this tour on a recommendation from a colleague and found this tour to be one of the highlights of my first trip to NY. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area and provided information not just for the local food, but for the neighbourhood as well. The guide's enthusiasm for the tour and great humour made for a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be recommending this tour to others.

My wife and I joined the group of c.16 on a Thursday morning. The tour guide (Carrie Anne) was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and likeable. We enjoyed 8 tastings in a good variety of establishments spread around the three or four blocks in the neighbourhood, and had no need of lunch at the end of it! We both felt the tour had provided us with a real taste of the area, not just in food but also in the history and make up of the locality. This was excellent value for the money spent, and well worth recommending to others.

I got the tickets as a gift to my girlfriend for christmas and came into the experience not knowing what to expect. Having traveled extensively, including two trips to Europe with tour groups, I've been on many guided tours, and must say this was one of the most enjoyable I've ever experienced. The tour itself was great -- the food was eclectic and delicious and the restaurants were culturally and historically compelling. What set this tour apart for me, though, was our tourguide, Sephrah (sp?). She was as knowledgable as she was hilarious as she was engaging. And her knowledge extended far beyond the culinary aspects of the tour and into the hisory and culture of the restaurants and neighborhood, which I just loved. Highly recommending to friends and family.
