My boyfriend was hesitant to go on a walking tour. Half way through he was stoked on the day. Great mix of local hot spots and a little history of the area. Tons of fun, laid back, and a great way to spend an afternoon.

Our guide Diana was informative and well versed in her subject. The food was varied and very good. The weather left a lot to be desired as it was extremely cold and icy. Diana did everything in her power to keep us warm and entertained. Will do this tour again on a nice spring day. this was one of my daughter's Christmas presents and she enjoyed it tremendously. Thank you.

While it was a really cold day, it was a tremendous tour that allowed us to taste sample sizes of many different specialty foods, and showed several historical areas. Guide was very knowledgeable, although she always seemed to be walking about 10 paces in front of everyone else which made her seem less than friendly. The food samples we had were quite good but pretty small - I could have eaten more. Rather than more of the samples we had, it would have been nice to try additional samples from other places. I'd also like to actually sit down somewhere to eat a small meal. There was sitting time at some places, but barely enough to consume the small sample provided at the venue. I would have been happy to pay more and extend the time in order to accomplish this. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys trying different kinds of food, and can deal with whatever weather conditions exist at the time.

Curt is a great guide. It was nice seeing a new part of NY. You really learn about the area and the people of the area. All the food was delicious and well worth the tour. Thank you for opening my eyes.

Our guide, Bob, knew the district inside out and seemed to enjoy sharing his knowledge of and enthusiasm about the area with us. The food samples were generous and delicious. Small group size made conversation and questions possible. Highly recommended.

Foods of New York Greenwich Village Walking Tour

We had a FANTASTIC time on this tour. Both my boyfriend and I both live in New York and learned so much about Greenwich Village and now have an extensive list of new restaurants we want to try. It was raining on the day of our tour, but it did not even effect our enjoyment as the tour provided us with ponchos and we had an umbrella.

That was a very well run trip with lots of information from a very knowledgeable guide. (Michael??)The food stops and samplings were more than enough to be considered a substantial lunch. I would highly recommend this trip to family and friends who are in the area. Thanks. Carole Klein

The tour was great. Our guide Michael was knowledgeable, funny, and entertaining. He was almost 30 minutes late, though. But again, I think he's a great guide. Recommended for tourists and New Yorkers alike.

My friend and I meet in New York every few years... We've done the museums, the shows, the typical "tourist attractions". I went to New York University for grad school and thoroughly enjoyed the Greenwich Village experience in the late 70s. Of course, I was young, working and going to school at the time and never took advantage of the many restaurants, theatre and unique shops and services. This tour provided my friend and I an opportunity to have fun, explore the culinary treats that are abundant in this area. The price was more than reasonable, with all that was included. Our tour guide was excellent. He kept things moving, didn't linger too long, but didn't rush us either. He was very knowledgeable about the area because he had lived there for many years. His sense of humor was wonderful (don't we all need a good laugh these days?) He was warm, thoughtful and personable. He was attentive to the needs and interests of the participants and entertained us with his many "inside" stories about the characters and the legends that embodied the village. Last, but not least, the food. Oh, the food! Just the right amount, variety and of course the best quality. I ordered some olive oil from one of the shops we visited and will return to several other of the merchants when I return to NYC. Next time I hope to bring my husband on the tour, or perhaps another one of the "Food Tours".
