| Interesting places to visit and the food was delicious! Loved the variety from Indian to Italian to Cuban to the fresh smoked mozarella at Joe's Dairy. The ricotta cheesecake at Bellavitae was the best we had in the city! It was fun to actually go inside the restaurants and sit down to enjoy our tastes. Rahim was a wonderful tour guide and his stories really made the Village and SoHo come alive for us! It was great to have some details of the history and architecture and the colorful characters who have populated the area over the years. I would highly recommend this tour. | ||||||

| We loved this tour - but the tour guide made it so fun!! She was so funny and knowledgeable. We had never been to Greenwich Village before - or New York at all - so this was a first for us. We loved all the restaurants - got so much food - and different kinds. We are from California - our pizza is better - thicker crust. All the people who worked in the restaurants were very friendly and answered any questions we had. My favorite was Rocco's Pastries - and Milk and Cookies Bakery. Also loved the fried rice and cheese ball - very different. Great tour - will recommend it to anyone. | ||||||

| Chelsea Market took on new meaning during this tour due in large part to our guide Diana...The market came to life after Diana disclosed the history of its owner Irwin Cohen, and the amazing vision he had for developing it. The food offered at all the stops we made was fresh, delicious and plentiful, and the shop keepers were not only prepared with our "samples," but seemed pleased to see us all there. Diana was well versed in all questions culinary, and was happy to exchange stories with us as well. Our walk into the meat packing district was a 'real New York neighborhood story', full of anecdotal reference to ghosts of 14 Street's past, after which we all had a very vivid picture of what the area was like compared to what it is now. The icing on the cake moment came when we approached Little West 12th street near Pastis, where we all thought the tour would end, but Diana escorted us across the street to a wonderful example of a family owned and operated Italian restaurant where we we served our last sampling of food of the area, penne with oxtail ragu...Yummmmmmm! We will certainly try another tour and request Diana again soon! We had a great experience. | ||||||

| Kurt was fantastic -- soooo knowledgeable and entertaining! Loved to see how someone had the vision to make something out of nothing -- Chelsea Market Place is a true treasure --- and to eat and "graze" all along the tour was so much fun. Would recommend it to all our friends --- we did many of the "touristy" NY sites -- but this would rank right up there on top for us. | ||||||

| We took the Greenwich Village tour and it was one of the highpoints of our trip. Not only did we taste some good food but we learned a great deal of history about Greenwich Village. Our guide, Heather, was a real professional when it came to historical and culinary knowledge, guiding, answering questions and just generally helping. When we rerturn to NYC we will take another tour. We would like to thank FoodTours for providing such a fine service. | ||||||

| My sister and I had spent two days on the tour bus seeing mostly flashy sights of NYC. It was wonderful to wander the Village in a small group of people with a VERY knowledgable guide. The history he conveyed to us was very interesting. He was able to make us see how things have been over time and why things are the way they are now. The food tasting was great. Some things were very different from what we usually eat. We went into the restaurants to meet either the owner or the cook. We also visited places but didn't have food--the villiage butcher--for one. We heard about their history in the villiage. If I had friends who were going to NYC, I would mention this wonderful experience and encourage them to participate. | ||||||

| Loved it! Definitely an "insider" tour with visits to places you'd never know about otherwise. Cindy, our guide was wonderful, funny, knowledgeable and handled the group with great finesse. History part was fascinating and the food was great. I'd recommend this to anyone who can manage to be on their feet, with intermittent rest stops and potty breaks, for about 3 hours. Cindy, if you read this, "Chicago" was in our group of 3 women! | ||||||

| This tour was recommended by a friend and it turned out to be one of the highlights of New York. The guide (Kurt) was knowledgeable and hysterical. There was a delicious and diverse selection of food. We went back to several of the restaurants and deli's recommended and were never disappointed. There were so many gems uncovered you would never discover as a casual visitor. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! | ||||||

| What a fantastic 3 hrs. Our tour guide Cindy was funny, knowledgable and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with her wandering through the streets of Greenwich village, and sampling some fantastic food. | ||||||
