Foods of New York Tours

This was one of the best experiences we had in NYC. The Guide was informative and funny, loved all of the background and historical information. And, the food was absolutely fabulous! We visited shops that we likely may have passed by and purchased delicious gifts to take back home. My 82 year old Mother, 17 year old Daughter and I all had a terrific time proving that it is a great activity for a wide range of age groups.

My Mom and I went on this tour and had a wonderful time. Our guide was very informative, enthusiastic, friendly and made the tour absolutely fantastic (I forgot his name! He has red hair). The tastings were good but would have liked to have more substantial tastings...skip the salt and oil tastings and replace perhaps with meats from that store we visited. Left feeling very full and happy! Highly recommended!!!

Beyond the fun of trying all of the food, Rahim (sp?) was extremely knowledgeable about Greenwich Village. We had so much fun learning about all of the different reasons for the various architecture, hideouts, restaurants, theatres, etc. The reason for the term "86'd" and Barbara Streisand's first job at Cherry Lane Theatre. We went back to Roccos before we left NYC to pick up some goodies for the road. I would highly recommend this tour to ANYONE! My sister and I (in our 50's) had sooo much fun, it was 3 hours of dynamic information filled with good food from the most wonderful little joints in Greenwich.

Our tour guide was great!!! Knew a lot about the area and made it very fun for everyone in our group. The tour was a great way to plan where we wanted to eat and hang out!!! Highly recommend this tour.

My daughter and I took this tour and we had a great time. We got to sample a lot of great food and we saw some really unique places. Our tour guide was enthusiastic and fun, and I think it's fair to say that everyone in our group enjoyed it. We are definitely planning to take a tour of a different area in NYC from Foods of New York on our next trip. We will bring my wife and my other daughter next time!

Fabulous tour! Barri was an excellent communicator particularly with respect to the history of the village! As she stated...I want you to feel that you are excited to dine and explore the area! ...On my next trip to NYC, I will definitely go to many of the fun places to dine/buy! Did I mention that the food was scrumptious!!!!

This tour was fantastic. You certainly get a feel for the area and a good history of it as well. The samples were delicious and well received by all.

The Greewich Food tour was inforative, entertaining and delicious. It is a wonderful way to explore the city. Our tour guide, Kurt, was such fun and added lots of colorful detail to his descriptions!

We learned about the local history of the area as much as we enjoyed the food treats. We loved the pizza by the slice and the fried rice balls with cheese. 3 hours of fun and good food. Kurt, our tour guide, made the tour enjoyable and informative

This was my second Food and Culture Tour; my husband and I did one together and then he had meetings so I did this one. These tours are one of the best things I did in NYC. My tour guide was Barri and she was very friendly and knowledgable. Our tour group was made up of children, teens and adults; we had a group of 7, I was solo and everything in between. So whether you're looking for something to do alone or with your family this event is perfect. There are so many restaurants to choose from it can be overwhelming and there are so many great places that I don't want to spend time and money on something average or below. This tour lets you experience several restaurants and shops you and get the history along the way. On both tours I went back to restaurants we visited and I was not disappointed. A really great value!! I enjoyed it so much, I recommended it to everyone I talked to, even New Yorkers!

We had a family group of 8, ages 11-73. Guide was funny and made the effort to get to know names and talk with everyone. We learned a lot about the area, saw a wide variety of places, and of course enjoyed the food! It was definitely worth it, and would love to try another tour whenever we get back to NYC!

This was my 2nd time on this tour. Sephrah was our guide this time and she was sooo entertaining but also professional and highly knowledgeable. As before, we had such fabulous food and ended up "stuffed". The restaurants/vendors/stores/deli's etc. are so cordial and genuine. I am returning for this same tour in 10 days with a group of friends that have not done this tour. I know they will rave about it! Hoping to have Sephrah as our guide!! HIGHLY recommend the Greenwich Village food/cultural tour!!!

We loved the whole experience! Food was interesting and tasty. We even went back to have the wraps the next day. Thoroughly enjoyed meeting the others on the tour and our tour guide. It was a great way to experience NYC.
