Foods of New York Tours

LOVE this tour! My husand and I have taken this tour twice, first just the two of us and then we took s out of town guests. Our group of four loved all the facts and tasty food. Our tour guide , Bert, was A-MAZING! He filled us in on Village tips and facts , very knowledgable and seemed to love his job! I would highly recommend taking this tour, it gives you a clear taste of clean pure food and fun facts of the historical village. If you are a foodie you will love all the tastings and recommendations of mom and pop restaurants in the area!

It was very interesting, our guide was awesome, remembered all our names. and talk to each one as if he knew us for years. The place is great and the places that gave us good did an awesome job. From Soup, cupcakes, Italian food, we were able to make a sandwich. Chocolate, and macaroni dish. We were full by the end of the tour. He helped us get on our way also. Very very good tour. I would advise it to my girls next year. and I will try another one of your tours. Greenich Village.

This has been one of my favorite activities in my eleven years of coming to New York. If you like history, architecture, New York ambiance and food, you will love this tour. Our group leader was personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. All of the tastings were great. This was money well spent.

The 3 hours passed quite quickly, with plenty of information on Chinatown and the cuisine being doled out in addition to the great food samples. Loved the Peking Duck - it was the highlight of the tour. Our guide was very knowledgable and friendly. He stayed aware of the group and handled any unexpected situations (a few small wrinkles in the itinerary) well. Overall, a great experience.

What great eats! I have been on other food tours but never walked away as full as with this one. The food and portions were plentiful. The advertisement was spot on that you won't need to go for lunch when finished. Our tour guide Darryl was very knowledgeable and added a bit of humor along the way. Keep up the good work.

We have visited NY many times, but had never been to Chelsea Market or High Line. The tour was alot of fun and informative. A good way to see things we wouldn't have found on our own. Leader did a great job!!

I enjoyed the tour. Great balance of interesting and educational talking points, coupled with some delicious Chinese food! As a local who has considered himself an experienced Chinatown vet, I still learned a lot of things I hadn't known. The guide was well-versed in what he was talking about and seemed to really enjoy his job. I would recommend this tour.

If it weren't for this tour I never would have ventured into Chelsea market. As just an occasional visitor to NYC I found the ability to visit food markets along with restaurants even more interesting than visiting just dining establishments. We ending up staying after the tour to shop at the many stores we visited on the tour and buying lots of items to be shipped back home. This choice of the various foodsofny tours turned out to be just right for us. This is also a very nice tour option because the weather was iffy and having the majority indoors was great.

If you are limited on time but want to get a supersize helping of true village culture then this is the tour for you! Not promoted in Australia I found it on the net. As a single person it is difficult to get on tours like this and not be the odd one out! This definately doesn't happen. Staff are dynamic and welcoming to all. The information was up to date and relivant, the walking is easy and the eating is easier! You get about 7 eating stops. Warning, don't eat beforehand! You won't have space for the volume of food they give you. You are provided with a bottle of water to help wash it all down and the only hidden extra is an alcohlic drink that is an optional purchase. It is a great way to introduce yourself to the vibrant village life. The information will equip you with enough knowledge to brave those secretive Jazz bars and coffee shops that only the locals know about!

Our tour guide was great. Friendly & very informative. You could tell that he enjoyed doing the tour & made sure everyone had a good time. The 3 hours went by quickly & the food we tried was excellent. A friend had done the same tour & highly recommended it to us. First time I have ever done one & will certainly do another one & tell others about it.

Wonderful, informative tour. Lots of interesting facts packed into a small space. Terrific food from a variety of ethnicities. Generous portions and very tasty. Attentive and personable tour guide. Highlight of our trip to NYC.

Heather was fantastic! The pace, the history, the food-I can't say enought! A friend recommended it and I didn't know what to expect- I can't wait to do another one! I LOVED it!

Our tour guide was entertaining and extremely informative. Her passion for Greenwich Village is very obvious, and once you begin the tour, her love for the quaint little village becomes contagious! The food is delicious and filling.. we were a little unsure at first as some of the tastings only consisted of 1-2 pieces, but by the end of the tour when you are about to receive the final scrumptious dessert....it quickly becomes clear, that you are indeed full :) I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. The walking distance is not too far, so don't let that scare you. And once the tour is finished there are a few really neat bars to check out there, namely The Blind Tiger and Centre Vinoteca (great italian white wine in quartino's), they were our favorites!!

I don't really know where to start but I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS. The food was great, the tour was great and our tour guide was even greater. I loved Cindy, she was so funny, dedicated and she knew so much about the Market and the Meatpacking District. It was a great tour and I will never forget it :-) Love from AMSTERDAM :-)
