Foods of New York Tours

The Greenwich Village Tour combines good food with interesting cultural history. Tastings are good and varied. However, it would be nice to see a list of places to visit before you sign up. My husband was not keen on at least 50% of the tastings and we may have chosen another tour had we seen a schedule. Tour guides were pleasant and knowledgeable however, I did not feel the need to tip as the tour was pricey enough.

This is a great way to get a snapshot of one of NYC's most charming neighborhoods! There is a well-balanced blend of history and culture, and the food is plentiful and delicious. Our guide was energetic, amiable, and knowledgeable - delightful in every way. This is a great activity if you only have a short time to explore Greenwich Village. It provides a wonderful introduction that will make you want to learn and taste all that The Village has to offer!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this informative and interesting tour. The food was great as was the interesting historical commentary by our knowledgeable, friendly guide, Bert. Thanks for a great day.

Have been to NYC many times, but this was one of the best experiences I have had while there. It was a perfect blend of local information, history and getting to know some of those"out of the way" places that you will want to visit again and again! Our guide was enthusiastic and humorous!

Our tour guide Sefra (sp?) was really, really funny and informative. She kept us in stitches and we learned a lot. Ate great food, met nice people, and would HIGHLY recommend it!

This tour experience was fun and informative. We felt like we learned alot about the neighbourhood while enjoying a varied and delicious selection of food. Our guide was friendly, informative and enthusiastic. We will certainly book another tour to learn about another part of New York on our next visit.

This tour is must for a trip to NYC! Our tour guide Barri was very knowledgeable, not only about the foods we were going to taste but also about the history and architecture of the Village. The food was delicious, too. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will do another food tour on our next trip to NYC.

This was our second tour -- we enjoyed the first one so much that we went back again and took more family members. The food was delicious and the guide was friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable about the history of the neighborhood and the history of the various restaurants and other food and entertainment establishments we saw. He really brought the neighborhoods to life and he seemed to be having as much fun as we were. We were a multi-generation family: grandparents, parents, and two older children -- 16 and 20. This tour offered something for everyone. Our guide really went out of his way to be sure everyone was having a great experience. He was equally engaging with the grandparents and the kids. When even a teenager is having fun (smiling, laughing, not texting, not rolling her eyes) you know you've picked a winning activity. I'd recommend this food tour for ages 12 through 90!

Tasting and walking tour is a nice pairing. I know Greenwich Village yet still got something out of it. I would highly recommended for young & old.

This was a very interesting and entertaining tour. The tour guide did a wonderful job of sharing info about the area and the food samplings. I would highly recommend this tour .... I was very happy that the highline walk was included in the tour.

I have been on this tour 3 times and every time I love it more. Our tour guide, Darryl, was amazing! Knowledgeable, patient and entertaining! Couldn't ask for more!

Never having been in the Greenwich Village area before, we were treated to some historical information, architectural tidbits, and most importantly delicious food & glimpses of life in that area. We tried some fantastic food and were given coupons for many of the stores. When the tour ended we went back to the stores and bought some goodies to take home. We were also given a booklet highlighting all of the places we visited, so we'll know where to go on our upcoming trips to New York. This was something really fun and really different. We'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Lots of fun! Our guide was super, very pleasant and knowledgeble. The three hours went by quickly. If you like food and history, go. What could be better then grazing through Greenwich Village.
