Foods of New York Tours

I have done many tours in the States but this was the best. As a visitor from Canada I went alone but was made to feel very welcome by everyone. Ask for Diana,she was terrific. Would highly reccomend this tour and don't eat before you go......plenty of treats.

I will tell all my traveling friends about this highlight of my New York visit.

Curt is a wealth of knowledge not only about food but the neighborhood. Secret spots, best menu items, architecture, history, you name it! The food was great too! Highly recommended.

We were lucky to have beautiful weather in April for our tour. We were feeling quite full at the end of it. I was surprised with the history information included on the tour. On the one hand, it was fun to hear details about buildings, etc., but I would rather have visited more local restaurants or businesses than to sit (or stand) and listen to the tour guide making jokes (a bit forced and overdone). My recommendation would be that Zerve include more places with smaller portions of food, and less time. Two hours would have been plenty for this tour.

My friend and I recently took the Greenwich Village food tour. It was so much fun! Our tour guide was Sephrah. She gave us a really enjoyable experience. Her knowledge of the Village (as well as the rest of the city), her sense of humor and comedic timing, was unsurpassed. At the end of the tour she even offered up her email address to all of us incase we needed any future advice for traveling through NYC. The food was wonderful and the samplings are generous. It's hard to say which one was my favorite.There is no way you will leave the tour hungry! If you do, it's your own fault! When it came to the history portion of the tour, Sephrah left no stone unturned. It was ALL very interesting. I highly recommend the Greenwich Village tour, and Sephrah as your guide. If you aren't lucky enough to get her, she assured us that the other guides, as well as the other tours offered by "Foods of NY Tours" are just as wonderful. Enjoy!

Our guide was Sephrah! I had taken my friend for our 23rd birthday, the tour guide, was unbelievably awesome! The food was amazing and the whole experience was something I am looking forward to doing again.

This was exceptional. We could never have done so much in a few hours. I would book tours for every area on our next visit. We had only 2 days to see as much as we could and this by far was the best part of our trip. Bert was fantastic

Sephra our guide was witty and charming. All the food tastings were good - we even went back to one of the restaurants that night and had a superb Italian feast. It gave us an insight into the foods of New York and the areas and history of Greenwich Village. A definite Must Do when in the Big Apple

This was a brilliant tour, the restaurants and shops visited were fantastic, as were the food samples!! delicious. Our tour guide was excellent , very knowledgable about the area and had been a chef herself so knowledgeable about and interested in the food. She was 'funny' and entertaining. All in all a very good day and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting New York

My whole family (husband and 15-year-old) had a wonderful time on the tour. Sephrah was hilarious and very informative. The food portions are large. I've been on ones where the group splits one or two large cookies. Here, you get your own. The mini canoli was amazing, as was the eggplant rollitini at Rafele's. My husband loved the NY style pizza at Joe's. (Keep in mind the food on the day you tour may be different.) I would highly recommend this tour.

Had a fabulous time and really enjoyed learning about the rich history of this area. I want to go back and spend some time shopping here:) Just loved the High Line Tour! Thank you Barry for a great tour!

We can't wait to come back to New York and do another tour. I will do all of them. The experience is a MUST DO! The group size is just right, our tour guide was remarkable and the food was unbelievably great! In my oppinion - if you visit New York and don't do a food tour - you've made a BIG MISTAKE. (And I travel and have done many excursions)

I really enjoyed this food walking tour to the max! I have been on a similiar tour in Philadelphia, but this was by far better! We sampled 9 tastings - yes 9!!! I thought the price-value was excellent. The food was great. We fully took advantage of the discounts after the tour - going to the olive oil shop, cheese shop and bread shop. We are also going back to one of the restaurants on the tour for a double date. I feel like I was able to explore a neighborhood of NYC that I didn't know existed before. We got to see many things that we wouldn't normally notice before. The tour guide was extremely knowledgable, fun and welcoming. Overall, an excellent day in NYC!
