The guide engaged your interest and we learned things we never knew about this area. Most were couples but we took our kids. 12 and 16 and they loved it too. Everyone was friendly on the tour and in the restaurant. Food tastings were great and they shared the secrets of this great food. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. A great way to see the city.

Recently did this tour, it was a fun experience ! Our tour guide Susan was fun and knowledgeable. It's a great way to see the city. The foods were tastey, eat a light breakfast before going, lots of food. Would like to try another tour in the future.

Our daughter gave us a gift certificate for the Greenwich Village tour. It was a great gift. Our tour guide Bert was fantastic. He was very knowledgable and entertaining as well. The food tastings were good and varied. We learned a lot about food (olive oil in particular) and we now have a new cauliflower recipe to make. It was so interesting to learn about the history and architecture of the neighborhood and because of Bert we now have new restaurants and a new theatre to check out - Cherry Lane. It was a wonderful three hours. We have friends that would absolutely love this tour given by Bert. And we will recommend it to them. In fact, we plan on asking some friends to join us on the Nolita tour in the fall. Hats off to Bert!!!

This was my second time taking this tour and I loved it just as much the second time as I did the first. Our guide Bert was the best - always helpful, full of information and even gave us recipes, and was funny too - Bert you are the best!! There was a wonderful variation of foods we tasted and places we went to. We came hungry and left stuffed! The shops and restaurants were within a small area so there wasn't that much walking to be done. The food we had was so delicious you always wanted more. I have been on two other of their tours, Little Italy and Chelsea Market which were also great but this one is my favorite. Walking through the streets of Greenwich Village was so nice seeing and learning about the history of the homes and the area. It's such an adorable little neighborhood to actually walk around and see how lovely it is. The residents do local shopping and the stores make purchases from each other - nice to keep it all in the neighborhood. We ate apps, main dishes and of course desserts. After the tour we went back to some of the shops and purchased some items. The store's employees were so friendly and gave us some pointers of various products and cooking. A great day in NYC and a wonderful tour. I highly recommend it!

Our tour guide was filled with information about Central Greenwich Village. My favorite place was the Porto Rico Import Co - Coffee Shop, as you opened the door you could just smell the aroma of all those coffee beans. What a grand experience and a great opportunity to learn a little about the culture of New York City, a must do tour if you love food followed by a bit of culture.

Annie greeted us enthusiastically and remembered all of our names with just one ask...she was delightful and really looked after everyone. I would highly recommend this tour. i learned just the right amount of history combined with tasting wonderful food and visiting restaurants i would otherwise not know about. for 49 dollars, it's a steal..and annie sang to us at the end. priceless.

Lots of tasting which was good but I particularly enjoyed when our guide pointed out architectural details that I would have otherwise missed. Tour provides a sense of that particular part of the neighbourhood. Guide, Sephra, was friendly, informative and fun. As a solo participant, I appreciated that she made me feel a part of the group vis a vis seating.

Very educational tour with a well informed guide

Although this tour is a bit more expensive than other food tours, it is well worth it. We had food served to us in 3 different restaurants while we were seated. Most delicious was the dim sum experience and the Peking duck experience. We will go back to those restaurants and the others that are recommended in the program brochure handed out to us. The 3rd restaurant was most educational -- a Malaysian restaurant. We will go back to try new things. Our "dessert" was a stand-up affair with samples passed on a tray. The guide's knowledge as we walked the streets and stopped by shops was outstanding.

First time on a food tour

This was my first visit to NYC and my first walking food tour. What a fabulous way to learn about the neighborhood (Nolita and NoHo). I went solo because my husband was at a conference, but after he was done for the weekend I took him through the tour and enjoyed it all over again. Bert was so great explaining the history and describing the food - he really enjoys his work!! And food!! We went to places that I probably would not have - like the Little Cupcake Bakeshop on Prince but I returned to get a generous slice of the Brooklyn Blackout Cake. At Tacombi the group enjoyed esquites (roasted corn with a sauce) and I returned to get the fish tacos and watch a world cup game - that was fun. I enthusiastically recommend this tour.
