| I enjoyed the bits of local history knowledge along with the food tour. It was nice to be involved in the taste testing at centro. I believe you must ask specific questions about the items being tested to get valid feedback on those items. Times in the future I will know where to go for dinner and pick up those specily items I am looking for in the village. | ||||||

| I really really enjoyed the tour but my one recommendation would be that you have materials to hand out to other passersby that were interested in the tour. We ended up having to give our own brochures to other people that weren't on the tour but interested in it. It would be great if the tour guide had some brochures to hand out to advertise the tours. | ||||||

| I had participated in this tour previously with friends and wanted my husband to experience it. We enjoyed it, but not quite as much as the Greenwich Village tour. I think Chelsea Market is an easy place to go and navigate without scheduling an organized tour, but if I was going to recommend one to others, it would definitely be with Foods of NY. Also, after the Greenwich tour, we felt like we had a "full meal" whereas, we did not feel that way after Chelsea Market. We understand that the food is only intended to be a sampling, but we enjoyed feeling like we had lunch during the Greenwich tour and had no desire to eat afterward. | ||||||

| The tour was very informative, interesting and fun. The foods we tasted were delicious. Our guide Darrell was exceptional and very efficient, too. The only complaint is that there was much too much food! And it was so good we couldn't say no. We visited a couple of restaurants that were not open for business, and were so impressed that decided to have dinner later in one of them, Morimoto--thank you for that! We also stopped for a drink at another, Son Cubano. And as a New Yorker who had never been to Chelsea Market, I am placing it on my list of things to do again and again. The out -of-towners in our group were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the tour. Good job!!! | ||||||

| This is the second year we have done a cultural food tasting walking tour - last year we did the Greenwich Village area one - and we would definitely do it again. The tour guide was informed, funny and gracious. The tastings were fantastic and just having the background information as you go adds so much to the experience. Well done! | ||||||

| I took my mother on the tour when she came into the city for a weekend. Last time she visited she went on the West Village tour and loved it. I've lived in the neighborhood for about a year and was thrilled to see what was behind the doors I generally breeze past. I loved visiting the little mom and pop stores and restaurants and sampling the yummy food! Susan was really great with everyone--learning the names of everyone in the group within minutes and sharing fantastic little details and stories about the streets I walk daily. The selection of tastings was very broad, the service was prompt and the food was delicious! Loved it! | ||||||

| We had a great time on the tour, we learned a lot about the neighborhood, things you would never know by just walking around on your own. And... the food was great, especially the Indian Bread Company :-). | ||||||

| It was so awesome to get to tour Greenwcih Village with a guide that was so knowledgeable. We got to taste food from great little restaurants and food shops. We also got history and facts about the area. The combination of food tasting and factoids was just right. I highly recommend this tour. (ask for Susan as your tour guide) | ||||||

| I enjoyed seeing the neighborhood and hearing about its history. The food, though, was less interesting than I expected. The Greenwich Village and Chelsea Market tours offered better selections. | ||||||

| This was our second tour; we did the Central Village tour last Thanksgiving it was with Cindy and it was fantastic). Our guide (Rahim..sp??) was wonderfully enthusiastic and humorous, BUT, he kept callings the group "guys" WAY too many times, as in "OK, guys, let's go here" or "Hey, guys, this is a really great place....". Also, we had two run-ins with neighbors. They were silly/stupid/inappropriate locals, BUT, it appeared to us that Rahim was too confrontational with them. It felt awkward. Also, some of his neighborhood facts/comments were not correct. I'm by no means an NYC expert, but he'd say things that I knew simply were not true from a common sense standpoint. For instance, he told us that St. Anthony's Church (1860's) was the oldest parish in NYC. That's not true...it's the oldest parish in NYC specifically serving the Italian community.....the plaque says so. Lastly, it just felt that much of his recommendations were advertising for places along the route rather than discussions on food diversity and availability. It's hard to describe what made it seem that way, but it just did! Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed it and will do another one of your food tours on our next visit. | ||||||

| We are oringinally from NYC have lived in CT for the past 31 yrs. Decided to take your tour without knowing anything about the tour or your company. We had a delightful time Marie our guide was full of knowledge about the village and we enjoyed all of the stops we made Great idea to give out the coupons. I have told my family and friends what a wonderful time we had and they are looking forward to taking a tour. I felt it was a great time. | ||||||

| In spite of rainy weather, Heather, our guide provided us with a great experience. Her enthusiasm was just what was needed on a bad weather day. The combination of learning about the area and its architecture with the food tastings made the 3 hours fly by. It made all 5 of us want to return to some of the restaurants and food shops and also to go on one of the other food tours. | ||||||

| When the tour ended, I went with a couple from the tour shopping and for coffee at a couple of the places mentioned on the tour. We passed the rest of the tour group at a pastry shop also pointed out by our guide. Can't wait for my next trip to NY. I'd revisit the Greenwich/Soho area to eat and shop (at least window shop) at the businesses listed by our guide. | ||||||
