Foods of New York Tours

We loved this tour. We wanted to learn about one of the neighborhoods of NYC and this was exactly what we were looking for. Our guide, Raheem, was so full of facts and history and he had so much enthusiasm for the different foods we tried. He took us to perfect places to sample many different outstanding foods and each was so very unique. The cheesecake we sampled was our favorite. We can't wait to return to New York City to take another tour of a different neighborhood. Would highly recommend this tour group to everyone!

My Mum and I were in NYC for 2 weeks and only chose a couple of walking tours to do. We are so pleased we chose the Chelsea Markets tour. The Markets are wonderful, so much fresh produce, so many wonderful places to see and our tour guide, Daryl, made the tour so fun and interesting. Daryl knew everything about everything and added in a lot of extra information about the surrounding area and New York in general. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys seeing new things and the great food areas that NYC has to offer.

A great way to see and hear about Greenwich village, its history and culture along with fabulous food tastings too! Our guide Marie was knowledgeable and very friendly. Our tour was during the recordbreaking heatwave New York was experiencing and she did her utmost to ensure our comfort and enjoyment in such extremes of weather. Highly recommended - lots of foodie suggestions and venues to which we would like to return.

I have now recommended this to a lot of people. We (friend and I)were recently on a bus trip for 6 days and the guide was nowhere near to Barri. She had such knowledge, was friendly, fed us very well (unbelievable choice of food tastings) and I would hope to see her on other walking tours.

This tour was informative and entertaining; an absolute delight! The tour guide was animate and friendly, just excellent: Cindy provided the history of the food, shops and locations, as well as achitectural facts and references to TV/film sites and local celebrities. The samples of food catered for all tastes and dietary requirements while the walk provided enough rest stops for everyone.

We all enjoyed the Chelsea Market tour this past Saturday. It's too bad you can't incorporate a tour of the food shows that take place upstairs. We did know this was not included in the tour, but it would be fun to even see the studios. Also, we were nervous about the weather this past Satuday as the weatherman was calling for torrential rain and wind, and your organization was very accomodating to us, even offering a different day. As it turned out, it did rain heavy in the morning, but the sun was shining by the end of a very wonderful day and I am so glad we went.

It was a fun time with friends, the tour guide was very informative and remembered everyones names on the tour. There was enough food, and a great variety, no need for lunch as described on the website. I would definitely do this again.

Our Tour Guide was great. He was enthusiastic and really provided some great insight.

We really enjoyed the tour. This is a great way to see up close areas that we would normally pass by as a part of a bus tour. We actually came back for Dinner at one of the restaurants and had a wonderful time. We are planning to come back next year and do the Meat Packing Tour. My only recommendation would be to expand to more areas of town.

Our tour guide was Mike (don't remember his last name) and he was great! Very enthusiatic and informative. My friends and I thought there would be more food but was still delighted with the stories and the tour. Greenwich village has great history and culture that I never knew about and taking the tour gave us a great new perspective. Thanks!
