| The tourguide was very friendly and encouraged us to chat to each other. She gave plenty of interesting information and the pace was good, considering that the was a variety of ages. I was very happy with the amount and variety of food, (although struggling towards the end!) and pleased with the printed sheet of information, since there's no way I could remember it . Total satisfaction! | ||||||

| My 13 year old daughter and I took a mother-daughter trip to New York--she and I think the food tour was the highlight of our one week stay. The history of Greenwich and the food we sampled was wonderful and our guide made the sights of the community come alive with his enthusiasm, knowledge of the area and the history. We enjoyed ourselves so much we recommended the tour to our hotel concierge for others to experience. Our tour guide was fantastic. Thank you for the fun! | I thought we would just be walking around eating tiny samples. But I loved the amount of food we received. I was completely stuffed by the end of the tour. Plus our tour guide Kirk knew alot about the area and the history of the village, it was alot more than just eating and walking around. The 3 hours just flew by and I was kind of sad that it was over when we reached then end. | ||||||

| We had a wonderful time on our tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. He made the neighborhood very personal to us - describing people, buildings and history. We also enjoyed the food which was delicious and more than plenty! We would do this tour again and highly recommend it. | ||||||

| I had two 18 year olds with me and they had a great time. The food was good and the information provided by the tour guide was really interesting. She was very much aware of what was going on in Greenwich Village and you could tell she enjoyed her job. | ||||||

| This is a tour for you if you enjoy good food and would like to know some history of the historic Village. Our guide, Barry, kept the conversation lively and food stops in great order to just keep one wanting more without overfilling. Her knowledge and interest in the area showed the entire tour. A nice variety of foods were supplied along with history of the particular area you were in. A great New York experience! | ||||||

| My husband and I have been to NY several times, but this is the first time we have ever done a food/history tour. We chose the Greenwich Village tour, and had such a great time, we will definitely be doing the rest on our return trips. I so enjoyed learning the history of the neighborhood as we walked through the quiet, tree lined streets. There is no better way to learn the history of a place than to be there. The food places we went to were excellent. We loved seeing the "out of the way" places that are loved by the locals. We ate so many great things! After the tour, we went back to Greenwich Village -- twice -- because there were so many places we wanted to try and we felt very comfortable in the neighborhood. On a sidenote, we wondered why the tour made a point to talk about Cones and L'Arte del Gelato, but barely mentioned Grom. We did a taste test of the places, and found Grom to be hands-down the best. It made us wonder why it was brushed under the carpet. Hmmmm.... | ||||||

| I loved everything about this tour. Michael our guide was great; witty, interesting and very knowledgeable!!! The food was fantastic and there was much more of it than I ever imagined!!! I learned a lot and saw things I never saw before (the back buildings and hidden gardens behind some buildings). I grew up in NYC and didn't really know this section of the city!! I would recommend this tour to anyone (should understand English though). | ||||||

| NYC Tours was recommended by another friend, but did not do it justice. We had a group of 8 and almost everyone called the next day to thank me for organizing the event. The guide was excellent... her energy, humor and knowledge made for a very fun day. The food tastings were varied and provided much larger portions than expected. We never made it to dinner afterwards and retuned to Rocco's for the best iced cappuccino ever! We're trying the others one by one. | ||||||

| We really enjoyed the Chelsea Market tour given by our tour guide Bob who was great. You can tell Bob really loved what he was doing because he did it so well. The food samples were delicious and we had to go back and do some shopping afterwards so we could bring some of the great food home. Learning about the history of the building, the owners of the shops and tidbits about about the food network stars was interesting and it really made the market come alive! Too bad we live over an hour away otherwise I would shop in this market more frequently. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone and it was well worth the price of the ticket. | ||||||

| This is an excellent way to entrench yourselves with the locals. The tour owner has done an amazing job of showcasing the "mom and pop" shops of Greenwich Village. My only regret is that I did this tour at the end of our vacation and not the beginning. When we got back to the hotel, I ran for the computer and tried to sign up for the Soho or Chelsea food tours but hadn't done it soon enough to get in the next day! Our tour guide was witty/knowledgeable. She knew many of the locals on the street and they all went out of their way to hug her and say hello. Since I couldn't join another food tour the following day, we took our ten year old on his own Greenwich Village food tour. (I was afraid that three hours of walking and eating would be too boring for a ten year old boy so he didn't join us on the regular tour.) He ate and compared two Chicago pizzas. We walked into Roccos and he literally took a deep breath of the fragrant scent the minute we entered the shop. What really had him excited were the "sandwiches" at Cookies and Milk. Even after two very big slices of pizza, he ordered a "sandwich" and finished the whole thing. We quizzed him just like our tour guide did but, believe me, our tour guide did it better! He does know why the police are called "cops" and what distinguishes a Broadway show from an Off Broadway show. He viewed the Friends building, the Mattel home where Barbie and Ken were born, the 1/2. The best part of the tour could possibly be in the guide book that is given to each participant which shows the tour directors favorite spots and what to expect and order at that particular location. We couldn't get to all of his favorite spots but our tour guide made sure that we knew about them. At the end of our Greenwich Village food tour we took our tired selves over to Deborahs for some sake sangria and reflected on our wonderful tasting experience! I can't wait to come back to NYC and explore Chelsea and Soho!! | ||||||
