I really enjoyed this walking tour. I have taken some before from other companies in NYC, but this one stands out because of it's small size. Our tour guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable and made and effort to get to know us on a personal level. Learned some interesting facts about the village!
The only downside was that there wasn't as much food as I was expecting. It says on the website that there is enough food so you don't need a lunch, but I was still very hungry when we were done. |

First trip to NYC and my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend spreading out the food tasting as the tour started at 11:30 and we had a cheese and olive tasting and then an Italian rice ball, but most of the real filling food came near the end of the tour. But again, very worth it. Very informative. |

Loved the tour. The flexibility of incorporating the unexpected eg a visit into a private home, interaction with local identities. Allow plenty of time tour lasted 4 hours plus 1 hour at wine tasting. 3 hour tour became 5 1/2 hours. Food was magnificant, sorry was at end of NY stay and didn't have time to go back to the restaurants. Recommend to do early in your NY stay. |

It was great. Our tour guide, Mike, was nice and funny. He would tell us about the architecture, the people of the neighborhood, the history of some restaurants... we even had the opportunity to get in one of the houses, which was rented by a friend of Mikes.
The food was great, really great! We had different kinds of breads, cheeses and olives, we had pizza, falafel, kebab, chocolate, canole... by the end of the tour we couldn't eat any more. And the weather, the company, the group, the food, everything was so nice that we ended up having a 4-hour tour, instead of a 3-hour.
I sincerely recommend it. The atmosphere of the village is amazing!

We enjoyed it. We are glad we did not miss out on the opportunity. We never would of seen the market, or known about it, without the tour. |

We had a great time. Very informative. Would do it again. We also went on the Greenwich Village tour and would recomend that one also. We saw a New York that the typical tourist never sees. |

One of the best values in the city, the only sad part was when the tour was over! We saw places, and tasted foods we never would have found on our own. We've told friends to make sure they do this trip on their first or second day so they have time to revisit some of the stops before they go home. Rebecca was the best!!!
Thanks Trent |

I RECOMMEND THIS TOUR TO EVEN THE MOST FREQUENT VISITOR--WE FOUND IT VERY WORTHWHILE,INFORMATIVE AND VALUABLE IN INCREASING OUR UNDERSTANDING OF N.Y. CITY-----PS. THE FOOD WAS GREAT AS WERE OUR INTERACTIONS WITH THE VENDORS |

It is a delicious insight into the European origins of NY culture of the past, with an intelligent and well informed guide. Timing, presenting and food tasting have been programmed and organized very well. A pleasure for any visitor with some knowledge of American literature and theatre, interested in a 'not-so-touristy' approach to visiting NY. |

This small group tour was exceptional. Not only did we experience the variety of wonderful food offerings in the Village, but we also learned about the "flavor" of the area, from its mixture of interesting shops, its charming little side streets, and the history of its neighborhoods. Bravo! |

The tour was an excellent opportunity to get a feel for the history of Greenwich Village and enjoy the various foods of the area, which were delicious. After this tour you did not need lunch. Our tour guide was knowledgable and congenial and seemed to love the general area....that probably can make a big difference. There was a lot of walking which suited me fine...but if walking if not your "thing" or you have foot/leg problems this may not work for you. I would highly recommend the tour. |
