Foods of New York Tours

I didn't have much familiarity with Greenwich Village so I decided to do this tour to see what it was like. Our guide, Cindy, had a whiff of madness about her in a good way. You could tell she really wanted you to love the area the way she did. I was the only singleton on this tour and Cindy made sure that I wasn't feeling alone since everyone else was buddying up. And although I am very used to doing things on my own, I appreciated her solicitousness. The food was wonderful and the amounts were just right (although I would have loved a second aroncini!). I went back to O & Co. , Murray's & Rocco's to purchase items after the tour. I will definitely do another food tour from this company. Well worth the money.

What could be better than an afternoon full of wonderful eats, history and architecture in a part of the city a lot of tourists don't get to. We returned for dinner that night following the tour and had an amazing dinner and it was so reasonable. Our tour guide, Marie, lived in the village for 9 years and was full of tips; her tour was well researched and she was well read about Greenwich Village and it's history. Great way to spend the afternoon; we would definitely like to try a tour in another part of the city the next time we visit.

This was the highlight of our trip from the UK to New York, mainly due to our guide, the lovely Annie. She was so knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area - it was obvious she loves it and as a resident was able to add her own personal touches. And then there's the food - amazing. Such a wonderful variety, French, Mexican, the most amazing cupcakes you'll ever taste and our personal favourite, the pizza which was made specially for us as we watched. It gave us such a wonderful insight we couldn't wait to go back on our own - and we did, for brunch, pre dinner drinks and of course pizza dinner, all at places we had visited on the tour. Thank you Annie, not sure it would have been the same without you!

Curt, the guide was fantastic and has an amazing capacity to everyone's names, and to fully involve them with the tour. The food was great; one of our party was vegetarian and was catered for. Would highly recommend this tour to others. Afterwards, we wandered around all the stores, buying goods with the vouchers, and eating yet more food. Thanks.

I was pleasantly surprised that we would be sitting down in restaurants for the tastings, and not just a bite on the streets. Helpful if it's pouring out. There is some walking of course, but plenty of time in doors. Bert was a great guide and was very knowledgeable. I haven't been to Chinatown in years, but will be back soon, now that I know where to go.

Kurt, our tour guide, is beyond fantastic!!! He was very comical and really engaged the group. His ability to remember everyone's names and backstories was incredible. He used this information when presenting the history of the market in order to create a common bond. Great guide (Kurt), great tour! Thank you!!!

My husband and I took our mothers on the tour for mothers day. We were expecting a pleasant time but the experience exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, curt, made the tour. He was extremely knowledgeable, had great relationships with all the vendors and best of all, has one of the best senses of humor we have ever come across. Our group was laughing the entire time. It was great. All the vendors were excellent and the food was far more than needed. We were stuffed from all the delicious creations although that did not stop us from going back for a shopping spree! I highly recommend this tour and we are already planning the greenwich village tour!

A fun and informative culinary tour of Chinatown.

First off, I would like to say how enjoyable our guide Darrel made this tour. He was so knowledgeable when it came to history, and the food tastings at each place we visited were well presented, and delicious. I would highly recommend this tour.

My daughter and I took this tour together during our 3 day trip to NYC. She had never visited before and this tour was recommended by a friend. We loved it. The food was great. The guide (Cindy) fun and informative. We would recommend it to any one coming to New York even if it was for 1 day.

We had such a fabulous day. Our guide Cindy was so full of information not just about food but also about the neighborhood. If you love real food then this is the tour for you. Great value.

Interesting and informative with a knowledgeable tour guide. A three hour tour with ample food samplings from several Greenwich Village restaurants with foods ranging from pizza and eggplant parmigiana to chocolate chip cookies and cheeses. Learned about various restaurants and shops in the area, along with some facts aboutthe neighborhood itself.

Before our visit to NYC, a friend told us that she had gone on a walking food tour and recommended we look into it. What a great idea! We went with two other friends and had a blast. It was so much fun hearing the history of the area and going into the different local resturants and shops and having a sample of their specialty. We went mid day and it was perfect for lunch. Plenty of food. We had a great time and had so much fun doing it with our friends. I recommend this activity highly.

The tour was exceptionally good. The tour guide (Annie) made the difference, she was hands down one of the best tour guides of any tour I have taken in NYC. Recommend this tour highly! Really fun day.
