My daughters and I had a great Saturday learning and enjoying the flavor and atmosphere of Greenwich Village. Our tour guide was fun, knowledgeable and enthusiastic as she took us all over the village. I would do this tour again and highly will recommend it to others.

Good Tours are Not Just about the Food

Food was great, history as well but it's the tour guide that makes it. Would love to take another tour (even the same one) with her again.

Cindy, our guide, was fun, entertaining, and full of interesting information about Greenwich Village food, architecture, and history. She also seemed to know lots of people in the neighborhood which gave the tour an added bonus. I was surprised that there were so many New York locals who took the tour too.

Aside from the tour being incredibly interesting (we learned so much history and neat factoids) and filling (there was sooo much delicious food!) our tour guide really made the experience extraordinary! Bob was awesome, always keeping the group excited. In addition to highly recommending this tour, I would strongly suggest everyone ask for Bob, he's the BEST!

Visited NYC for a broadway show on Friday and took this tour on Sat. It was one of the highlights of my weekend. Loved our guide, food samples and group. Will definately go back to some of the restaurants I saw on the tour. The landscape/historical part of the tour (in my opinion) was enchanting. It didn't even seem as though I was in NYC at times.

There are things to see outside of Times Square!

If not for this tour, I would never have known that Chelsea/Meatpacking District is so much fun! Chelsea Market is an absolute gem, housing art and individual businesses that serve the most tasty foods. Even the Iron Chefs have restaurants there! Bob our tourguide was fun and easygoing, and extremely knowledgeable. We got a chance to hang out as the locals do and experience something outside of the normal tourist attractions. I really enjoyed myself and will definitely go on other tours the next time I return to NYC!

My husband and I enjoyed the walking food tour in Greenwich Village. Even though it was very very hot outside we still had a great tour and was surprised to even learn a lot about Greenwich Village other than just great food spots. Our tour guide was great and full of energy and very accomodating. To me there was more than enough food to eat. I was definitely full! The brochure they give you is very handy to have for future trips and the discounts and coupons are an added bonus for when we come back. The only downside wasn't really the fault of the company that put the tour on but we used our navigational system to find the meeting point location and when we did there were 2 locations with the same street address in New York but with different zip codes. Not knowing the zip codes unfortunately we chose the wrong one because we couldn't find the correct zip code on our confirmation/ticket anywhere. Luckily we had given ourselves plenty of time because we had to drive another 20 minutes once we realized we weren't at the right location. I guess we should have done a little more research ahead of time. All in all, this is a great tour and I will definitely check out the one for Chinatown when it comes into play!

Disappointed in the food, pizza twice and bread a few times; did not care for standing outside to sample the food either. Not what was expected.

we have taken other tours of this type (6reenwich Village, Boston's North End). this was the most interesting of all. Curt was knowledgible and clever and most of all passionate about the area. I will highly recommend to others.

I learned so much about the Chelsea/Meat-packing district and I've been living in the NY/NJ area for most of my life. Kurt was a phenominal tour guide who definitely knew his stuff. I would go on this tour and other FoodsofNY tour in a second.

Highlight of my trip

I love New York (!) which makes it difficult to make this statement: The Greenwich Village food tour was the highlight of my trip. The wonderful tastes were part of it, but the area's history to which we were made privy by our guide was fascinating! I will return to the area and plan to dine at as many of the featured restaurants as possible!

Great food and interesting history of Greenwich. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would be interested in some day taking the one through Chinatown. After the tour we revisited several of the businesses featured to purchase items.
