Foods of New York Tours

The tour was great, and the guide excellent! Besides knowing alot about food, and the stores we visited, Bert also knew the history of the area and provided a great background. A wide variety of samples were provided-cheeses, desserts, olive oil, meats, appetizers, and bread! Highly recommended, whether you are a foodie or not. You won't leave feeling hungry :)

Loved the Greenwich Village tour!!! It was a fun 3 hours history tour complimented with some of the tastiest treats we had while in NYC. I am very picky & liked almost everything! Highly recommend!!!

Food was very good and the tour guide was knowledable and fun to be with. Lots of sights to see and things to taste.

The question I always ask myself after most events is "would I do it again"? The answer here is a resounding "yes". The food tastings were very good; the history was interesting, but the huge bonus was the presence of our tour guide Sephora. It was like spending a few hours with a wonderful friend who was a first rate entertainer and comedienne. We had a blast. Thank you Foods of New York. AS

The tour was lots of fun and the food we tasted was great. But most of the tour was spent indoors. I would have liked more of it to be outside. The guide (Cindy) was great.

Bert, our tour guide, was awesome! We loved this tour. We've been to NYC a few times before, but we learned so much about the Village on this tour. The food was great, and the information was so interesting. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Our guide was fun, friendly and very knowledgable. It was like walking around NYC with a friend.

We would have had an incredible time had it not been for our very obnoxious and nasty guide. The tour itself is amazing and well worth the money. We were two families with two children each and it was very apparent the tour guide did not like children. If children are not welcome than it needs to be made known. Our children were all very upset with the entire situation as were we. We were left behind on many occasions because the guide was running behind on her time schedule and was rushing us from place to place. It was a freezing cold rainy day and we needed to get jackets on the kids before heading outside to do the meat packing part of the tour and she was across the street before we could even get the kids ready and out the door. As a business owner my self, the net is that individuals such as our tour guide can cause ireperable damage to your business. Customer experience is key to a successful business and this individual clearly left such a negative feeling that I had to share with you so that in the future you can continue to prosper.

Our tour guide was knowedgable and very personable. I was surprised at the amount of food we were given (it was well worth the cost with just the food) and the local history and cultural knowledge made me feel more familiar and connected with that area which added a personal connection to my trip! I recommended the tour to my sister who lives in NYC!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Greenwich village food tour. As a former resident of the area, our guide was extremely knowledgable and able to provided a lot of local history. The food tastings were all delicious, particularly the slice of pizza from Joe's pizza and also the cheese from Murray's. We got several good ideas of restaurants to visit later during our trip, and if we had been staying for longer would defintely have taken other tours provided by the company. Thanks for a great introduction to Greenwich village!

My husband and I truly enjoyed every part of our food tour! Our guide, Susan, was informative, patient and helpful to the entire group. She was full of details about the area, it's architecture, peoples and foods! We were pleasantly surprised by how much food we received for our "tastings". We were worried beforehand that it would only be nibbles of this and that, but it was so much more, and we felt we got a terrific and well-rounded sampling of the foods of the area. We were actually still full after three hours of walking! We loved the added information about sites and history that were included as part of the tour. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the true "flavor" of a New York City neighborhood and not just the big sight-seeing attractions on their trip. We went back for dinner the next night at one of the restaurants we were introduced to and had an amazing meal there!

Overall the food tour of the meatpacking district was fantastic! There were many places within the market that we would have never thought to go, and as always with these tours, the food was great! It was also really interesting to learn the history of the area and the market. An area we probably wouldn't have toured much on our own. Only downside was that there was a lot of food in the beginning within the market, and then a big lull in food up until the end. Overall, great tour!

Our tour guide was David and he was fantastic! It was raining, cold and windy during our tour but all of my party (and everyone else too) had a great time. The food samples were great and we ended up returning to most of the stores to purchase goodies for the trip home! This was not our first time in New York, but it was our first time touring Greenwich Village. What a great way to be introduced to the foods of Greenwich Village. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone that loves food!

How special. I can't think of anything better to do on my birthday. Thank you for sharing your passion for great food.
